District council

Rung RVBC today regarding my moving in date to the area. My call was answered by Leila who sorted out my issues re council tax and new bins without transferring me to other departments. What a refreshing change to speak to a human being at the end of the line who was efficient and polite and went above and beyond. Thank you so much.

I would like to sincerely thank one of your staff members, Belinda Littledyke, for her outstanding work. She has restored my faith in social workers as she managed to complete a case that has been ongoing for over 2 months in the space of 10 minutes. The whole process was resolved without any issues as she took her time to help me out. She was extremely helpful and supportive. Please let her know I’m sending my thanks.

The online 'MyGloucester' portal which they constantly encourage is a complete travesty & provides nothing apart from take council tax payments - What a surprise ! The phone system is full of excuses about how over-worked, covid, lots of calls, etc & negative advice ! Basically no-one ever available, no-one wants to help or knows/cares how to help & excuses/justifications as to why we dont provide any customer services !

Useless bunch of robbers!One of their traffic wardens ticketed me while parked on an unrestricted stretch of road, because the faint ghost of some old parking restriction lines were still visible where they haven’t been painted over properly. Provided clear evidence that where I was parked is currently unrestricted, their appeals officer responded with a cut and paste reply rejection, clearly hasn’t even looked at the evidence.This is the council that didn’t provide a recycling service for two months and then refused to give any refund to council tax payers.Sterling service all round.

Fire the lot and replace them with youth who understand the current situation over these blokes who have their ways set in stone.

I’ve had several dealings with the council found them very helpful. Had a broken bin and a contaminated bin they sorted it straight away

First called phone was picked up and put down immediately, after calling back have been on hold over an hour and pretty sure the place is closed now.Terrible service for something which provides such essential services for life

The website would not let me pay for my garden waste so I got through on the phone to pay. Now I have received another request for payment. the web site wants me to register another property. Surely if they are offering the service it should be possible to pay without loosing 2 hours trying to pay and I have still to ring them tomorrow as now they are closed!!

Absolutely impossible to get in touch... I have set up my council tax for direct debit, received a letter confirming so but when it came to it nothing was debited from my bank acc. They don't answer email and I spent 1 hour going through damn robot trying to reach an actual person but it is either impossible or ridiculously hard.

Very helpful. Friendly receptionist. Sorted my issue out immediately.
