Oxford City Council

Had issues for 10 years with council tax and housing benefit not being calculated or paid correctly. Always in a battle and having to get the MP involved. They need to train their staff properly to know how to do their jobs! So much stress causes by their inadequacy!

Very rude towards Jeremy Clarkson. He is trying to help. Oxford council are bullying JC. Don't worry JC will have the last laugh!

Very quick to take your money but terribly slow and silent when they need to refund money to you because they have overtaxed you. Disgusting is how would describe the council.

Awful council, fast to take the money from you but 3-5 days" to give it back. Well next time I will give them my money in 3 to 5 days or maybe never because there was a mistake in the accounts. Also

I can’t believe we have to pay these people. Hopeless services all round. Litter everywhere unsafe roads. Really really unsafe cycle paths. They got a new computer system in September last year and it still doesn’t work. Dreadful and depressing. Looking forward to moving away so I don’t have to deal with them anymore and that’s when you can get someone to talk to you that isn’t just rude and unhelpful.

So, 2d Feb green food caddy was outside with other bins. These had been put out the night before. By midday I realise mine had been missed. Went online and registered that my food caddy was missed. Heard nothing. Thursday rang up to find out what was happening as I'd heard nothing. I gave the online reference to a woman called Sally who said she would contact the relevant department and call me back. Today is Monday and... NOTHING!! No call back. The binmen are due tomorrow but I've now got to try and cram in another week's waste food into an already full caddy. What a waste of my time!!! If I refuse to pay my council tax they would be quick to contact me then.

Ruined what was once an amazing city. Absolutely shambolic decisions from who I can only describe as troglodytes.

I’m ashamed and embarrassed to have this dictatorship leading my city. The place I was born and the memories I made as child have been obliterated by this self driven, money hungry, mockery of a council. If only there were real democracy we could have real representation of Oxfords people. Yet we’re left crawling at the mercy of this beast that feeds from the bosom of our Wallets to grow the monster that is this cities council.Housing officers claim toBe the land owners of the green and of the homes, forgetting they were only allocated a job role and have not actually personally inherited our land land. They reluctantly serve those in need of homes with heapings of Pitty and slices of disgust toward those desperate for housing. The housing panel mock our calls for help and applications for hosing needs serve only as decoration on thier website, as all requests for help are met with “your not special, your all the same”. Desperate bidders stay up past moonlight waiting for new homes and fresh beginnings while housing needs plans and schemes to crush each bidder till they crumble like biscuits in tea and are intimidated into accepting a half a box room for a home.They infect our roads built by our ancestors, they spend millions on money thirsty cameras and ltns set out to devour residents wages and rinse our pockets dry, Laughing at us so Intensely that all our money spills out of their pockets as thier full bellies jiggle. The council is built to self serve those at the top of this council’s establishment. Those workers are cushioned by its self prescribed money bonuses and it’s intertwining Inner community that will cover the tracks of all and any mistakes of its workers. Never will they admit they were wrong.Our hard earned money is swiped from the mouths of our children to go into the pockets of the beasts that ignore the people and dictate so aggressively residents are left with sore shoulders as we carry this burden daily.When they are ready they turn a blind eye to emails, turn of thier phones and ignore complaints for weeks on end. I wonder how they are aloud to earn a wage while they spend thier time sat denying and concealing a counties miseryI beg, give me back my city, give me back my freedom and dignity and remove the weed that is Oxford city council from our once adored county. Years of my life have been dampened and infected by the ever expanding limitations that restrict us so much that we are blue in the face and gasping for air. If only we could be freed from our captor Oxfordshire council, if only we could step out side our homes without being charged by the mile, if only I could support my local business that have been suffocated and by LTNS. Business are closing and our city is crumbling under Oxford city council ruling

Oxford City Council must be competing to win the title of Most Pathetically Inadequate Council In The UK (against very stiff competition). The website is worthless and appears to have been designed & programmed by a five-year-old unpaid intern. The phone line is never answered - you can wait for literally an hour - which means it's actually not being staffed. And they never reply to letters mailed to them. Moreover, they no longer have any office space at 109 St Aldates but of course haven't bothered to update their contact info. There is, of course, no option to contact via email or online chat. In short, this organization is shambolic, amateurish, inept, incompetent, unresponsive, and should be shut down immediately. Thereafter it could be replaced entirely by a much smaller staff of people who are actually capable of performing their functions, which would be a very pleasant change indeed.

Disgusting behaviour and people who don't care about daily struggles of other people at all. Shame, shame, shame. Staying for hours in traffic just because of their unjust LTNs. I am sure they are proud of destroying the lives of people by making everyone stay in traffic for hours missing on quality time with their family. I also want to know and make public if they pay for their all important zez zone.
