I would like to sincerely thank one of your staff members, Belinda Littledyke, for her outstanding work. She has restored my faith in social workers as she managed to complete a case that has been ongoing for over 2 months in the space of 10 minutes. The whole process was resolved without any issues as she took her time to help me out. She was extremely helpful and supportive. Please let her know I’m sending my thanks.

Councils now stand as a most troubling authoritarian beacon clamping down on normal human beings like us . Just like the puppet government , the NHS, mainstream media which are now ruled by the global elites intent on pushing normal people into a feudalistic slavery ……the council has jumped on to this bandwagon . They cry “we are concerned for your safety etc etc “ . My recent experience with them shows that they are not . They are money grabbing and threatening and do not keep on top of written paperwork . The only saving grace is that one can still talk on the telephone to a decent human who usually does their best to help through the dreaded digital quagmire the council and all the other “ authoritarian “groups have imposed on us normal humans . Hold on tight as they will become worse as the digital New World Order arrives like a tsunami .

vermin. If you owe them money, it gets deducted automatically from your bank account. If they owe you money you have to call them and face their incompetence. Stop paying council tax now. There math is all wrong. They overcharge you. Its time to hold these private companies accountable

I have recently been proposed to South Cambridgeshire District Council from an agency for a temporary role (6 months) as Energy Rebate Assistant.I had an interview with Zoom with three ladies that had not even a clue when the rebate process was going to start and the feedback I received, along with other candidates, was that although we were very prepared we did not show enthusiasm for the role. Please tell me which enthusiasm I supposed to show during these difficult times, still going through a pandemic, with energy bills and general cost of living dramatically increasing, for a temporary role that can be terminated any time?! Ridiculous and pathetic.

Moved out of the area and wanted to stop council tax payments but they didnt reply to my messages, both emails and calls. Ended up cancelling the direct debit instruction through my bank instead. Previous experience with cambridge city council was excellent in comparison.

I have been waiting 8 weeks for a response to my email. I have sent 6 follow ups and even submitted a complaint, yet they never reply! I will take it to the local council ombudsman, it’s time they were brought to task for being so sloppy so I encourage everyone else to do the same. It’s funny how quick they are when they want money off you though.

They don't care about people. 0 customer service skills.I did ask for a call back. Called them few days later and get told to wait.Few days later court summons letter comes in. The council tax did not add up for me. I had no choice but to pay it as they threatened me with higher fees from court if I did not pay it.Great way to suck out money from a students.

What's the point of the bidding system when people get told they have the house 3 months before the old tenants leave and never goes up on home link? What a joke. Bidding was to make it fair getting housed guess it's who you know that gets you a house so easy.

I called at the county offices in person to make a query about my council tax. There was only one receptionist on duty, so I waited for 15 minutes despite the fact it wasn't busy. When I was eventually served the receptionist was very helpful and knowledgeable, handling my query satisfactorily and making it worth calling in person.I suspect council budget cuts mean it's not possible to employ more than one receptionist, even when one is sorely needed.
