Cosmeston Lakes Country Park
Went today on a bank holiday, been before but a beautiful walk with stunning views, the medieval village is fun for the children and a nice park! The only grumble I'd have is lack of parking for the size of the park/lake there isn't a whole amount of parking!Parking is also free for Blue badge holders and a pushchair can easily be pushed around the whole park

Harpur Hill Quarry
Terrible place. Water has a pH of nearly 12 so it's like ammonia or bleach. Therefore dangerous for swimming. Proven to contain animal carcasses, old cars and sewage. I do not recommend.

Swiss Valley Reservoir
Cracking little place to walk the dogs. There is a circular trail that heads from Harry Watkins pub, around the reservoir, through the woods and down the other side. Tarmac and gravel track most of the way. Anyone should be able to do this trek.Dog friendly.Cafe and coffee house along the way.

Calm and picturesque place by the river. Banksy's work is also there

Simply beautiful. We hired an electric propulsion boat from Martham Day Boat Hire, which was really quiet and it really enabled us to see loads of wildlife and all at our own pace.
