Coombe Dingle Sports Complex
Came here for an exam so didn't actually use the sports center, but the grounds looked very well kept, and there is a convenient bus stop across the road from this destination, making it easy to travel to

Burgh Island Hotel
Have stayed at the hotel five times over the past decade or so, and always enjoyed the experience, which is unique and very special. There were nice friendly people to drive you and your luggage across to the island. Since my last stay, there seem to be a lot of new staff, some who were not perhaps as experienced as they might be - our lunch order wasn't what we'd asked for although what we were given was nice anyway. We had dinner in the main dining room, a great experience with live music and everyone in dinner suits. We'd booked for 6.30 but didn't get invited to our table until 7.45 and our starters didn't arrive until well after 8.00. Despite the late start, the food was excellent.Of course, the hotel is famous for its Agatha Christie connection, as she based two of her novels, Evil Under the Sun, and And Then There Were None, on Burgh Island. In Evil Under the Sun, a particularly awful hotel guest is murdered. So it was a delight when we were treated to a pair of wonderfully obnoxious guests - they announced to anyone who'd listen that they were on their anniversary and intended to celebrate" every night. It was hilarious to see their disgust when they were offered water with their meal. I don't think I saw them sober the whole time we were there

Heavitree Pleasure Ground
We love love living close to Heavitree Park. A lovely green space with lots to do, or to sit back and watch the world go by.The play park and pools are almost always busy but there is plenty of room for all.. There are quieter spots too, perfect for for all ages. The Parklife cafe offers refreshments which can be enjoyed inside or taken away. There are tennis courts, a bowling club, and a basketball court.A food van visits on a Friday evening, setting up outside the Parklife Cafe.

Health Club and Gym at St Michaels Resort
The health club is a friendly and welcoming environment with good facilities. I have been a member for many years and take advantage of the excellent instructor led classes to develop my fitness and well being and to support me to build my strength and endurance for events. I took part in three triathlon camps, through which I made many new friends and gained a real sense of achievement. I enjoy relaxing on the pool, sauna and steam rooms too, especially after a dip in the sea! I have recently signed up for the extra benefits of the wellness membership with dedicated personal training and a spa session each month.

Liverpool Tennis Centre
Currently repurposed as a no symptoms Covid19 testing centre, the setup is very quick and efficient. In and out in less that 5 minutes. Pity the process to log all your details on the Gov.uk website is so long winded and can't be used again for repeat visits!!
