Stone carving

We're really pleased with the work Andy has completed on the bath stone front of our house. He's been so reliable, is such a hard grafter, and has been easy to communicate with about the work. Once the paint was removed, Andy repaired some of the existing stone and replaced other sections where necessary, clearly explaining what needed to be done and why. The neighbours have been chuffed with Andy's attempts to minimise dust and he's even washed cars down in front of the house on a particularly dusty day! Overall - brilliant and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Andy

I have to thank Moira for her care and understanding when dealing my mums headstone. We were all going through a very upsetting time and my father wasn’t dealing well with her lose. Moira put his mind at ease and went through the process carefully and with sensitivity.I would recommend her and Moira Morriss Memorials to anyone.The only down side is that it took too long but that was totally out of her control.Thanks Moira. We have had Tom working on our grade 1 building doing a variety of stone masonary from general repointing, stone replacement and internal wall rebuilds. His knowledge is unrivalled, his attention to detail amazing and his love and passion for buildings and his work is heart warming. I would recommend Tom unreservedly and have him on a regular schedule of works.

My sandstone bungalow's pointing had been repaired with cement by previous owners, along with repair work to stone and metal air vents put in with cement.I searched for a stone mason in Glasgow and based on the reviews selected Guardian Stone for a quote.Ronnie was quick to respond, competitively priced and he also had a lot of knowledge and experience plus references and photos of previous jobs.Ronnie recommended a schedule of works and he stuck to the price and the time scale agreed. He did thorough preparation, removing old pointing and using techniques which did not damage the remaining stone, he then cleaned out all the surfaces and we agreed on which colour of pointing to go with after reviewing some samples he had installed on my wall.The final result was excellent and I have authorised him to use photographs of my house as references for the future.He cleaned up all the debris after he was finished too!
