The women working here are so nice and friendly. I'm visiting family ans Leicester and they wanted to come here to get frozen whelks and some other fish to take home. It was a lovely way to end our day trip to the seashore

Peaceful site with friendly helpful owners

We have been buying fresh fish every week from Martin, at this stall, for almost 10 years. The fish is of excellent quality, they have a wide range of choice and the staff are unfailingly pleasant and knowledgeable. As a qualified chef, Martin can always help with a recipe or cooking suggestions, too! The stall is outside St Mary's Church every Saturday, except Bank Holidays, from 10 a.m. Get there early to take advantage of the best deals!

Fish prep class for my son was amazing. He learnt so much and was buzzing when he left. Fish fingers, mussles, mackerel, calamari all from scratch. Massive thumbs up. We will be coming again!

Excellent service and top class fish. These guys work from very early on the morning so it is hardly surprising that they close by lunch time. I am puzzled why anyone should give a low rating to a business for merely closing there doors , I would have thought the rating should reflect the products and customer service rather than something as petty as closing time that didn't suit one person. This is not a high street shop and they always have a telephone should anyone think to use it to make an order or enquire on opening times. Lets give these businesses a bit of encouragement rather than condem them on trivia.

Fish, clams, lobster tails, all products are bitter taste. We found this taste every time sometimes more sometimes less. Yesterday was a last time that we buy fish in this shop all going to waste
