The National Telephone Kiosk Collection at Avoncroft Museum is arguably the UKs most complete telecommunications museum where visitors can get a complete history of the public telephone service with a working telephone network connected to four telephone exchanges and every type of telephone kiosk used from 1912 to the present day. The K6 is the most popular red box first introduced in 1935, although the K2 was the first red box to be introduced, design by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. Police boxes such as the Tardis made famous by Dr Who were used before the introduction of the 999 service to give quick access to the emergency services.

National Space Centre
Excellent day out. We had a fab time exploring all of the space center and doing some of their activities. The Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be back for another visit!

Techniquest
Good interactive science museum which keeps children entertained with activities. There is a gift shop and toilets on site. There is no food outlets in the building although there is a picnic area within the building where you can eat your own packed lunch. There is no actual car park there, but there is a pay and display across the road.

Science and Industry Museum
This is a great museum. Although part of the museum is being refurbished, you can see how they try to engage their visitors and support accessibility. It's also free for general entry (donations welcomed). The live demonstration in the textile area was wonderful, with the explainer making a real effort to engage and interact. The first floor was mainly geared up for kids and has some great interactive exhibits to promote fun learning.I'll happily be returning when the refurbishment is completed.

Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower
Having visited your museum yesterday we found it very informative and well displayed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also liked the cafe and it was reasonbly priced. The views are just amazing. I never realised just how big the museum was. So much to see and do for ALL ages. Cost is very good if you get a combined ticket with Portsmouth Dock yard even Includes a ferry/boat trip to get here. You can then do as many repeat visits as you like for a year. ! Amazing. Thank you for a lovely day out.

Don’t tour Scotland without Paul! From the moment I contacted him, he was professional, helpful and always responded in a timely manner to any questions I had. He worked with me to create an itinerary based on what we wanted to see.I cannot speak more highly of the 5 day tour of the Highlands my friends and I took with Paul. His knowledge of Scottish history helped bring to life all of the castles and beautiful places we visited, always leaving us with things to think about. He frequently suggested little stops off the beaten path that he thought we would all enjoy seeing, which we always loved.Paul is funny, engaging and a proud Scotsman. He went out of his way for us more than once and was always happy to suggest a restaurant or local shopping. We all left with a love of Scotland and we will be recommending him to anyone we know traveling to Bonnie Scotland. Thank you Paul for giving us a tour of a lifetime. I cannot wait to return to see more of your beautiful country.

Really good attraction and very educational, can easily spend most of the day here to really go over all the interactive exhibits properly. Helpful staff and excellent value for money.Would advise to research parking because it's very expensive in the car park next.

What can I say about Paul, other than he exceeded every expectation (and then some) on our private tour of Glencoe and The Highlands. He took us off the beaten path where the usually tour buses can’t go, and gave us such great history and background. The next day we booked a walking tour of Edinburgh where he once again showed us some very cool highlights of the Old Town. We won’t hesitate to book Paul on another tour when we’re back in Scotland. He was super accommodating, thoughtful, and worked with us to create a custom experience.

Tons to look at but beware of the specimens in the Medicine section if you’re squeamish. Some fantastic working steam machines, a few cafes and a gift shop packed with children. There was an exhibition of clocks and watches when I went which was very informative.
