Lovely, scenic place for walking. Terrain not too steep and well-made footpaths throughout. Be careful to pay attention to signs however, there is a steep drop into the quarry.

Work for hawkes demolition ..went into this quarry for one of our customers ..we are based around northampton and Milton Keynes..wellingboro and kettering ..turned up first visit ever ..lovely lady on the weighbridge explained everything to us ..got loaded very quickly and on exit had an easy time thanks to everything being straight forward..

Managed to clamber down to the water's edge, all to get a photograph of the infamous Hodge Close Quarry Skull and luckily the water was still, so if you look at the reflection on its side you see the creepy vision of a skull.
