Greenland Grove Animal Sanctuary
Such a wonderful, peaceful sanctuary where all the animals who live there are truly loved and cared for, no matter how big or small. The owners and helpers work tirelessly to look after them and it shows. I wish I could give this place a higher rating than 5 stars because it deserves it! Keep up the good work Greenland Grove.

Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
One of those places where you wished you lived! Beautiful and serene with enough nooks and crannies to keep even the most dedicated Gower nuts visiting again and again. It is much busier than it used to be, but then again, what worthwhile place isn't?

Bradgate Park
Car park was easy to use and well maintained - you pay on exit. Main path is crowded at busy times but off that there are quieter tracks to walk. The little stream is great for kids and there are also plenty of rocks to scale. We visited the ruins of Bradgate House which were staffed by a knowledgeable guide. There is only one small chapel remaining with a display about the house. (The ruins are free to visit) Toilets are available at various locations and were reasonably clean. A good place to visit if you are wanting somewhere close to the M1 too.

Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons)
I spend a lot of time in different parts of the Beacons. Sometimes on my bike, hiking, alone and with my family. One of our favourite hikes is near the old Neaudd Reservoir. It's nice and flat for our youngest and the owls Grove trail is short enough for him to tackle. You will be surrounded by beautiful views whichever part of the national park you decide to visit.

Abbot's Wood
Great place to walk our dog, especially in the hot weather. Plenty of shade and a lake and streams for her to cool down in. Beautiful arrays of wildflowers and wildlife to match- butterflies, birds and deer. Can get muddy in the wetter weather, so wellies can be handy off the beaten track.

Tatton Park, Knutsford entrance
This is the place to go to see the reindeer. It's ar the far end of the park from the main house but offers nice walks by the lake.
