Hilton Cardiff
Has been my go-to hotel for years whenever I come home to Cardiff and have always been happy with it, but this is the first time I've had time to use the pool and spa, and the changing rooms were like stepping into a different building: broken/rusted lockers, broken ceiling tiles and broken locks on the shower doors, used plaster left on the bench, steam room with no steam, surly receptionist. It's a shame because the spa/pool was always a big factor for me in choosing this Hilton compared to other local hotels, I just never had the time to use it until this week. That being said everything else about the hotel is great, so if you don't plan to use the pool/gym it's 5 stars.

Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh
Honestly for what it is it's over priced to the roof. Entering the room for a three nights stay. Finding a leafe on the floor which stayed till we departed. The bed sheets had stains and black hair in it. Toilet light was broken and flashing the hole time. And if you try to ask the cleaning personal for something they didn't understood a word English well at least two of them. The room service was great though. We had cheese platter and some other stuff best sortiment of cheese I had in a while. But unfortunately won't be returning. Just wasn't right.

The Baraset Barn
Called in for a light lunch on 13.12.23. I am a wheelchair user and as we entered the conservatory was met by a surly French bar man who just said “you can only come in here”!There were about 4 or 5 steps to the main dining area.I went to the disabled toilet, and all 3 WCs (ladies, gents and disabled were in a short narrow corridor just behind the reception desk. Another surly man was busy at the desk - he looked up and waved his arm - “over there” he said. The disabled toilet had a very narrow outward opening door. I had to square up to the door to get in - there was less than 5mm space either side of my chair.I could only get half in the toilet before hitting the toilet pan - because the room was only 1 metre by 1.4 metres! The toilet was set well away from the back wall so projected more than 1/2 way into the tiny room. There were an array of grab rails and 2 plastic bins which took up most of the space. I had to get off my wheelchair and push the chair out of the room to shut the door. I couldn’t have done this without my wife’s help. The receptionist, only feet away, was totally disinterested in the comments and noise we made trying to get me into the loo. The recommended standard for disabled toilets is 1.5m x 2.2m.What a joke, given the whole ethos of the hotel as a top quality dining and hotel venue! We had intended to use the hotel for a midweek 2 night break for 15 people next year but the welcome and disabled facilities ensured that was never going to happen!Extremely disappointed with the Lively Pubs ethos, if that is indicative of the group!

Delta Hotels by Marriott Peterborough
Full of drunken louts. Not a proper Marriott. I've stayed in many Marriotts over the year and do so because of their constant high quality and relative exclusivity. This is not deserving of being called a Marriott. Maybe they think it is smart business to cash in on the name, but they've lost me as a customer. Its dreadful. It seems to be the hotel of choice for the lowest class of white van man and labourer. Loud drunken louts. They spend their evening in the communal areas getting drunk telling lewd stories and harassing other guests. The smoking area next to the main entrance seems to be a favourite hang out where they can fling comments at decent people they look down on. This place would be a disgrace to Travelodge let alone Marriott. The rest of the facilities are also slightly sub standard. Poor bar. A/C not working. Didn't have a record of my request for early check in. The Bonvoy app is also a joke. As is the online ' hotel directory with the most cryptic and fragmentary information."

- Great location - 3 min walk to city centre.- Family room was spacious and clean.- Gym on-site, no pool...- Cooler 'fridge' didn't work on arrival, HVAC also didn't work. Room was unbearable hot. Was kindly given a fan by staff...fan also didnt work.

I stayed here for an event going on at P&J, the room was lovely and had all you needed, we loved the mini fridge. The bar has an excellent atmosphere (although can be busy) but great service and great cocktails and food. We will be back.

Tried over charging for our room for a bar tab that we didn’t know about and didn’t request. Because they said we checked in on the app that it was different which doesn’t make sense and then was meant to have breakfast and was told by the greeter that we weren’t so had to go back and forth with the receptionist until he agreed we were down and he was very rude so definitely won’t go back to that location again
