I booked a knife forging experience as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday - he had an absolutely fantastic time and it was entertaining for me as an observer too. Pete was great at helping keep it a surprise until he opened the door to his forge, then helped my boyfriend come up with a fantasy dagger design since he wanted to go for something fun he could display. Pete was a lot of fun to spend the day with, incredibly knowledgeable and keen to teach us all sorts about his equipment, creations and various smithing processes. Highly recommended experience!

Had an excellent time on the Experience day creating a cheese knife. Peter explained every step of creation, and in the end we heat treated and sharpened the knife to make it fully functional. Would definitely recommend!

Had great day with Pete. He was very knowledgeable and engaging, and kept four of us involved and interested on a very hot day.Overall a great experience, I may well return to do more!

Had a wonderful time doing blacksmithing with my two other siblings. I can say that Pete was an amazing person who made the whole experience fun and was a great laugh for general conversation. Hope that you are enjoying Dune and really greatful to have a lot of insight into how the craft is and with the final result of our knives

Initially when we booked Matt and the Salisbury Door Company, all seemed good. Good offer on the doors and came out to do the work in a good timely manor.Unfortunately since the work has been done we have been incredibly disappointed. Firstly the standard of the doors themselves, they are poor quality. While fitting the doors one of them slipped and broke our bathroom mirror, a mirror attached to the walk that had a back light, not great considering the cost of the mirror and that we have children in the house.The cost of the mirror was taken off the bill with a promise that they would get someone in to wire up a new one, after a month we had to call someone ourselves and take the added cost as it really isn't safe with children leaving a broken mirror on a bathroom wall.The actual work on the doors is terrible, we had 8 fitted, one is so badly trimmed down that the door latch cant reach the frame and so the door won't close at all, another hasn't been trimmed enough and so pulls along the carpet. The bathroom door handle is terrible and hardly works and when the lights are on you can clearly see a huge gap between the bottom of the door and the frame.The rest of the doors aren't amazing, but you can live with them for the price, but most are missing screws or haven't been sanded down enough.We have tried countless times to contact Matt via phone, text and Facebook and we have been made promises on days to come a repair or replace and he has never turned up.Looking further into the Salisbury Door Company, Companies House suggests that the company is being dissolved which leaves us in a position that we've had terrible work done and no way to get our money back or make any real complaint's aside from leaving bad reviews and hoping that no one else gets stung by the Salisbury Door Company.

My wife bought me the blacksmithing experience for Christmas and it was awesome.

We had an amazing time making bread knifes and it was so fun and rewarding to do the process from start to finish. You know the expression the best thing since sliced bread" - this wouldn't be possible if it weren't for Petefire making bread knifes since the dawn of time. I had two great sessions making a large bespoke knife. Peter is a very good teacher very informative and knowledgable.Great fun I would go back anytime.I would recomend a blacksmith experience with him

Had a great day out at Peters forge, booked a papaknife experience for two and came away with two fantastic kitchen knives, Peter is a great teacher and very knowledgeable in his craft and has a great personality to boot. If you have any interest in blacksmithing I would highly recommend.
