Thank you so much to Sonia and Steve at buccaneer boats. We hired Monaco for the day last Sunday with our 4 boys and what a beautiful boat it is. We certainly felt like we were cruising in style on the broads. These boats are in a league of there own compared to all the rest of the day hire boats on offer at other hirers. No other company has these and believe me I did my homework. The price was very good for what was is on offer. So pleased we chose Sonia and Steve they were so helpful given that we were novices and totally new to driving a boat. Certainly a memory we will never forget!

Beautiful self built house boat with outside seating and hot tub lots of places with in driving distance ( Reedham chain ferry, Beccles, Yarmouth ect ) lovely pub just a short walk up the road ( very narrow be careful of traffic) fishing on site too plenty of boats to see too train station near too

Amazing boat and service. This is the first time I had hired a boat, and Dean showed us how to navigate and went through the first lock with us. The boat is in excellent condition with all mod cons. Well equipped kitchen (although we normally ate at a pub) + lounge, with comfortable beds and a nice shower. This was the perfect relaxing weekend.

Comfort, style and luxury by the boatload. Super stay, lovely location and David was the perfect host, even gifting us a bottle of prosecco. A fantastic place to get away for a night or two or longer. We will definitely be returning. Thanks David.

What a wonderful experience our family have just endured on board the Maddison, Brevic and Michelle are lovely people who explained everything to us before we departed on our journey for the weekend of relaxing and enjoying the scenery along with meeting friendly boaters on the canal system. It was a pleasure to be on board a lovely boat equipped with bedding and towels for all, there was plenty of space to accommodate our family, Thankyou to Brevic and Michelle for renting out their treasure a good time was had by all…

Our one week stay aboard narrowboat Maddison as a family of 5 was without doubt one of the best holidays we've been on.The boat itself is modern, spacious and clean. Extremely well equipped it affords most of the comforts of home, packed efficiently into the space of a narrowboat. Once you start your trip and begin to spot other boats using the canals you'll realise what a good decision it was to have hired this boat. The generic fleets of hire boats out there pale in comparison to Maddison.The owners are both friendly and professional and communicate well in terms of making the necessary arrangements for payments, arrival and general advice in terms of routes etc. They were always a text or phone call away when we needed advice during our trip.There's some beautiful routes to navigate around the area. Hazy summer days pottering down the waterways, feeding the ducks and swans and BBQs on the towpath - truely idilic. We were reluctant to hand the boat back at the end of our trip!We found the hire pricing for this boat to be excellent value for money. Watch out for the extra charges other hire firms impose for fuel and insurances.Thanks to the Jones family for an exciting and pleasent stay.

The family were not sure about this, so we did the taster day, that was great, food was brilliant, only made one mistake, we forgot to bring a bottle of vino to go with lunch. We had the boat for 10 days for our break. it's well equipped, comfy, the only expense that we incurred was for a toilet pump out, but that was not a lot (£16), so no issue. We found some smashing pubs on the canals as well. This was the most relaxing and tiring holiday I have been on for years. BRILLIANT. The Jones family have this SPOT ON! GREAT VALUE, GREAT BOAT, GREAT FAMILY. We did have issues when we went home though, I thought the bed was still rocking when we got home and my wife walked into the wardrobe wondering why there were clothes in the bathroom.

My girlfriend and I decided to spend a weekend aboard a narrow boat, and the best option we found was willow wren in Rugby. And aren't we glad we did, very pleasant and helpful staff, the boat was immaculate and frankly one of the best short weekends we've had. Thank you to everyone!

Firstly, the boat (Willow) was excellent, right up there with the best and we've hired many boats over 30+ years. Nice interior with plenty of room as it's only a 5/6 berth in a 70 foot boat. Bathroom and shower were larger than on most boats, kitchen was spacious and modern, beds were very comfortable. Staff very helpful and communication was great. Ring and speak to Dean if you have any queries or special requirements. He even rang us on the morning we were due to arrive to confirm a few things, a great touch. Also, good value. We would hire from them again.
