We had a lovely afternoon enjoying the Norfolk Broads from the miniature steam train, travelling along the track bed of a former full size railway line. The journey is about an hour each way with lovely scenery. The station and footplate staff were very friendly. The cream tea at Aylsham station is very good.

Gavin was very helpful and provided a good service.

Beautiful railway. Very well looked after. Excellent knowledge of staff on board train. VIP observation was lovely to be in and the guard gave us an excellent knowledge of the line and its surroundings. Lovely food, although the information doesn’t show a full selection. I really wanted to give 5 stars but the ticketing system means that you have to queue for the single ticket booth even if you have purchased online, the signage and online confirmation don’t explain this. It was good that they encouraged those who had booked online to go to the shop to exchange their tickets, but this was only when the queue was very long and 10 minutes before the train was due to depart.However, a really lovely day out. All the family enjoyed it. Thank you.

Good coffee but it gets very busy and despite lots of staff, the wait can be long. Dog friendly and there's a lovely garden area at the back.
