Wonderful little place. Good food and coffee and lovely people. Skip the sterile English Heritage Cafe and head here. If you are walking the wall they offer a small but useful selection of groceries including fresh veg.

Great place for a coffee / snack / lunch. Not far from Birdoswald, and not magnificently signposted. But honestly one of the nicest coffee shops in the area.This is one of those places that you make an excuse to stop off at. I have actually driven past 8 coffee shops, not been in the mood for a snack or coffee, and STILL landed up here...Oh, and they make cheese on site too. Good cheese.Just stop by, find out for yourself.

I can't remember ever visiting such a dreadfully unappetising, dirty establishment before in my life. The lack of cleanliness throughout was really quite shocking, the food and drink was equally very poor indeed. The people running this place need to seriously consider another career, preferably nothing at all to do with catering. I wasn't able to award no stars, even though zero would have been more appropriate.

My wife and I are staying here in a self catering wing of the house. It is a wonderful place with a real country house feeling. Very comfortable and very well equipped it is made even better by the delightful and friendly welcome received from the daughters of the house, their parents being away when we arrived. Book this one and you will not be disappointed!!

If you like raw milk then I cant recommend this place highly enough. The milk is absolutely delicious. Everything in their quirky little cafe is organic. Lovely varieties of cheese available and all made on site.Staff are very warm and friendly, even the cute dog that greets you in the parking area on arrival.This farm is a pure delight, it’s off the beaten track but well worth the travel to anyone that wants quality.I actually have an order of 8 pints of Ayrshire milk to pick up this morning, and I cant wait to get my hands on it.5 stars all day long! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had lunch here and it was delicious. Big portions, wholesome food and the ladies that run the cafe are wonderful! The cheese they make here is just fabulous and can be bought at Brampton Farmers Market. Really reasonably priced menu; we had 4 huge plates of butternut squash and spinach lasagne with salad, slabs of delicious bread with organic butter, chutney and mayonnaise, a pot of proper loose leaf Earl Grey tea and 2 real hot chocolates (i.e chocolate melted in milk) and we were really pleasently surprised with the final bill! You would have paid at least half as much again in a pub. We love visiting this little gem of a place. Highly recommend you pay a visit.

The Father, who adopted Jeremy, was in the RAF fighting for our freedom and was a friend of the father of my close friend RAF and Military Attache who lived in the village, The friends of the parents, who did have their drinks partys

Lovely quiet place, very comfortable and huge rooms

Don't think I could be anymore enthusiastic about this place if I tried. After a long day walking hadrians wall it was a very welcome rest point. Beds were comfy and shower was lovely and hot. Diane was a super friendly, welcoming and helpful host. We got our tea and breakfast there and it was wonderful- very reasonable price for the amount we got.Easily the best place we stayed on the wall.
