Peterborough’s very own hidden gem, a variety of options unavailable elsewhere from hard shell crab, shark, hare, venison and much more. Rich in flavour and spices. I will be coming back here as a regular customer.Went as a group of 5 with starters mains sides drinks totalled to around £45 each very affordable and generous with the portions along with brilliant service

As an Indian and having studied in Goa plus as a hotelier I know my food.. entering to the restaurant I was not sure if it was the right choice as the place was busy, the staff were preparing a table of 10-12, for people who were waiting and although they saw us, continued the set up (strange)..I was like let’s go out but something inside me told me wait and finally after 5 minutes (when waiting it makes you feel 15mins) we were finally approached and taken to a table which was free..But now my entire assumption was changed, the server was immediately to our table, the order taking was prompt (slightly unsure if they had the drink - Amrit whiskey) I was asking for.The drinks were quick to arrive and the food was Jet speed. The appetizers were delicious and the portion size was decent..Our mains were also delivered promptly and this convinced me that the step by step service sequences followed must be really good. The server Ronaldinho (No guesses about his origin) and Beatrice were both professional and helpful.I also spoke to the restaurant manager while he was checking on us and shared my positivesOnly part I felt strange as I had asked to see the chef but although he was present, he kept himself away from our table while busy ensuring the other were checked on and surprisingly clearing tables (Especially his chutney sets), I guess they were short of it as we had never received it with our kebabs. Strangely he was right present while we were paying the bill but again refrained from interacting. Not sure if it was my heritage that kept him away.Just FYI, the restaurant gets quite loud as it’s more like a dining hall set up and the voice really echoes.

Liv's Takeaway and Caterers
I had the absolute pleasure of being a guest at Michael and Cefona's home for dinner. My friends and I wanted to taste the food since we were considering hiring Liv's takeaway for my wedding. After trying the food, we 100% are going for them. All the dishes were authentically Goan, exactly the sort of food I remember eating on holiday trips to Goa in my childhood. Croquettes, Mutton Xacuti, Cafreal Chicken, Pork Vindaloo, Fish Caldinha, and Chorisou Pilau(my favourite). Blasting with flavour and unapologetically delicious. I thoroughly recommend Liv's take-away if you want a break from generic Indian food and want to try real Indian food!I must say, not only was the food excellent but Michael and Cefona are among the most genuine, kindest people I've ever met. They literally made space in their home for us to dine in. We were all like one big family, chatting and laughing the night away. They even gave us Tendli pickles and Bibik on the house as we were leaving! Thank you for adding another happy memory to our wedding days.

Cross Restaurant
This restaurant offers a mixed dining experience that has both its highlights and low points. Let's start with the positives. The food at Cross restaurant is undeniably delicious. Every dish is freshly prepared to order, and the thali, in particular, is noteworthy. The flavors are authentic and satisfying, cooked by Goan women on the spot, making it a go-to spot for those seeking a taste of India. However, the glaring issue lies in the service. It's disappointingly slow, and this can significantly detract from the overall dining experience. While freshly made food is appreciated, the extended wait times can test one's patience. On a brighter note, they have live music on Sundays during lunchtime, creating a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere. This is a delightful addition that enhances the dining experience and adds a touch of charm to the visit.

Going there again! Goan fish curry rice (fish thali) is delicious, consistency in taste, homeliness in flavour. Will remind you of authentic Goan cooking if your roots are in goa.Clean and hygienic.

Cross Restaurant
A must visit restaurant for a true Goan thali. The quality of all the fish was excellent. As fresh as you'd want it to be. The thali is reasonably balanced with pickle, kismur, a veg, sheera and the curry. And a generous piece of rawa fried fish of your choice.Areas for improvement would be the general hygiene level specially the toilets. But the quality of the food far outweighs this small issue. Will surely visit again.
