French steak restaurant

Absolutely wonderful dining atmosphere - beautiful interior with excellent music playing. The soufflé was delicious, and the fries were cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The steak and tarte tatin were also both very nice. Mocktails were exceptional.8.5/10 for the food. 10/10 for the atmosphere.

Good scallop starter. However I find my main cours lamb smell too strong. Dessert is great too.

Went there twice. First time for the à la carte menu and the second time using a deal online for the cheese fondue. Both time the food was succulent. Highly recommend the place

My husband and I were at this restaurant at lunchtime today. From the moment we walked in we were greeted most warmly by Sam. The music and atmosphere were very mellow and it was easy to forget that you were in the middle of the city! When the food arrived it was delicious and you could tell it had been made fresh on the premises that day. As for the chocolate brownie desert, it was to die for. I've tried many deserts across various restaurants in town but this was by far the best. The food was first class and we will be booking to go back next week! This restaurant is definitely a hidden jewel in the city. You will not regret visiting it, enjoy!

It was very tasty. The twice cooked beef was delicious. The fries are a bit not to my taste. The beef carpaccio was amazing.

Absolutely fantastic steak, my partner and I shared a 680g picanha steak which was cooked (medium rare) to perfection. It was excellently seasoned and so flavourful, definitely high quality meat. One of the best steaks I have ever had! The frites were also delicious and well seasoned.The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has a lovely ambience. Highly recommended!

We went here after visiting the Malowe Theatre, which the restaurant is less than a 5 minute walk from. They offer a free glass of wine or beer when shown a theatre ticket. We asked for a soft drink instead which they were happy to do. We opted for passion fruit juice, as this isn't something normally seen on a menu, which was very nice.We both chose Chicken Saltimbocca for main course. The chicken breast was very large and cooked to perfection, with the pancetta on the outside nice and crispy. The sauce was full of flavour and complimented the chicken perfectly. It came with a tomato and mozzarella aranci which I thought was a great carb option for the dish.For dessert I went for the Burnt Basque Cheesecake, which our server said was new on the menu so would like some feedback on it. I thought it was delicious! Cheesecake isn't something I usually go for as kind find it a bit sickly but this was very light. The berry compote gave the right amount of tartness and the whipped vanilla cream was a great accompaniment. I think ice cream would have made the dish too heavy.Will definitely be back as the food and service were great.

Just had Sunday lunch here on our first visit. Staff excellent, varied menu. Sirloin ordered pink was extremely pink - delicious and very tender. All food was excellent. It was a little bit cold where we were sitting but that is a minor criticism. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely return.

What a disappointment, was so looking forward to celebrating my partner’s Birthday at Oscars with our friends. We opted for the set menu that consisted of a starter, main and desert, the main was Beef Stroganoff, the portions were so tiny and consisted of three small pieces of meat and a blob of mash potato, the desert was boxed up because we had a birthday cake but we all opened our boxes to find the smallest piece of cheesecake that was about two mouthfuls. We were ignored, never once asked us if we wanted another drink or offered coffee at the end of our meal, which by way we ate in 2 minutes. Staff rushing past us but not stopping to see if we were alright or needed anything….all in all such a disappointing experience, I have never left a Restaurant feeling hungry before, so needless to say we will not be returning.Photo is of the tiny piece of desert they gave us, I have never written a review in my life but this experience at this restaurant really bothered me.

Honestly 10/10 place. Would definitely recommend everyone. Not super cheap, but the food is fresh and very good so the price is excusable. I would book a table outside if possible, because it’s very picturesque with the lavender.
