French language school

I began learning French with Jane sixteen months ago, I was starting from scratch as I had never studied a language before. The hour lesson which I share with three other students are now online, the time goes very quickly. Jane is an experienced teacher, she makes the lessons fun and is creative in her teaching. I think Jane's students are fortunate to have such a gifted teacher. I am delighted to have found JLH Languages and I am pleased and amazed at how I am doing!

We have taken French lessons from Bill for about 5 years and have no plans to stop. Each time we travel to France, I feel more confident in my ability to use the French I’ve learned in a way that can be understood! My vocabulary, accent, and knowledge of grammar have improved greatly, particularly over the last year. I look forward to continuing my French education with Bill until I can think in French!

I found Christine on line when I was looking for a French tutor and was only interested in a French national who lives relatively close to us.It has been a pleasure working with Christine. I have learnt a great deal and found her to be organised, patient, detailed and encouraging. She also responds very quickly to questions or on correcting my “homework”. When I had my “familiarisation” session at the outset, I told her that I was only interested in improving my spoken language. She was very insistent that I must also spend time on grammar, reading and writing. I have learnt that this essential to improve, so she was absolutely correct to point this out to me.Overall it has been a great success.

I was part of a small group lesson with Sonia for nearly two years. I learnt so much from her. She always caters the lessons to be whatever pace you need them to be, and they are always fun. :))

I am English mother-tongue and have lived in a French-speaking area for more that 30 years.
