Venture off the beaten track at one of London's hidden gems, tucked between the A127 and M25. Folkes Lane Woodland is based on what were previously arable fields grouped around a steep hill. From its top are vistas south over the River Thames to the North Downs and west across London’s Docklands and Canary Wharf. On a good day you can see as far as the O2 at Greenwich and the London Eye. Folkes Lane Woodland is the perfect place to escape and enjoy the quiet of the woods. Its hillsides provide some fairly strenuous exercise opportunities whilst a small wet area for amphibians and a hilltop picnic spot provide the perfect stopping points to get your breath back. Over 90,000 native trees are steadily growing on site, providing a welcome screen to the neighbouring M25 motorway.

What a find! Only 10 miles away too!! Car park is small so I think next time we will go early but so many lovely trails to get lost in! Very good 3 hours out in the countryside today

Great place to stop for a short walk. Came September 3pm only 2 other vehicles. Can walk all the way down to the lock and great for a quick dog walk. Free parking. No fires.

Duck Street Car Park
Unfortunately I’ve noticed a lot kids on their bike’s have a tendency to hang out here.Sometimes can be a bit bang like to be honest.This can make it a bit hostile sometimes specially on weekends or at night.My advice don’t park in here if you have small kids or someone vulnerable.I would also like the council to do something to combat this from continuing.
