Fish and chips takeaway

No issues with the food, really nice and tasty, could be a bit hotter though! That’s probably down to having our delivery time (through just eat) extended from 1 hour to 1.5 hours, then after being promised it was on its way (later admitted it hadn’t left the shop), 2 more calls to ask where the food was, an argument because they wanted to just tell us it had left the shop but we wanted to actually know where our food was and what time we would be getting it and finally a returned call from the lost driver (we live literally 5 min away), we had warm food after 2 hours and 10 min! Real shame as the food was good, but the customer service and delivery drivers need to sort themselves out.

Lovely batter on the food and the fish is prepared and cooked while you wait. Staff are polite. Pity they are closed on a Mon as they seem to lose business.

Ordered for delivery2x cheesy chips1x regular chipsReceived my order with 3 lots of cheesy chips and I am unable to eat cheese. Called the restaurant and they said there was nothing they could do other than refund me and I'd have to reorder.Tried to do that but they then tried to charge me more than the chips for the delivery which i refuse to do so my whole family got to eat and I didn't.Extremely unhappy with the service I received

Nice little fish chip just off the beaten track, fast service and lovely staff. They also offer gluten free chips which is always nice to see!

Tried the new battered Christmas Dinner, it was absolutely gorgeous!!! Kept seeing it advertised & kept telling myself I need to try this so I finally did & loved it. Battered Turkey, ham & stuffing chopped up on a bed of chips with cocktail sausages & turkey gravy. 10/10 can also add sprouts for all you sprouts lovers.

Feel very sorry for front counter who are really nice and have to serve this food, and use that term lightly, Indian has not been available twice, donner was dry and then not available, beef and chicken dishes, well, did a knock around the neighbours to see if one of their dogs had gone missing,very debatable what it tasted of. Rice,soup and crackers fine,but chips are ordinary. Give it a go, as I am sure it will be a one visit trip..

Eat here very frequently as a resident of Jedburgh. Last fish supper was tiny, barely any fish in the batter, spoke to the ladies at the shop who offered a free fish next time. Just been back for another fish supper and the gentleman fobbed me off. No effort to keep a good customer. Disappointed in the poor service.
