Could not be happier with our choice of restaurant. We were sceptical about cajun food in the UK but everything was perfect.Trust the chef - he knows how to put together a great menu.

My partner chose this restaurant last minute for my birthday meal with our friends and we were all blown away! The owner Managed to squeeze us in, was the best host with a great sense of humour and even did a couple birthday shots with me which just brought the best start to my evening. We cannot wait to eat here again and I have already been talking about my experience yesterday with all my family as it’s just brilliant. An absolute must try! This will be your new favourite restaurant without a doubt :)

The food here is fresh and delicious. BUT we went on a busy Friday night and every thing we chose they had run out of. Fish, octopus and there was only one dessert available. There is something amiss with stock or supply because they really let themselves down. The food we did have was delicious but too much was out of stock.

Loved it here, such a lovely location! Gorgeous pub, went for the Saturday jazz brunch, with New Orleans food and live music! Will definitely pop back to this pub when next in London.

Mixed experience. Good food, poor front of house, not at all welcoming.First and foremost, the food was very good. The octopus and the okra starters were excellent. The traditional curry with mutton was really tasty, and my son was a big fan of the lamb kebab. Now for the service.I booked the table five weeks in advance. On arrival, a girl came over, didn't ask if we'd booked, just said they were full. I had to tell her three times that we'd booked before she got it.It was then a full 15 minutes before we were given the opportunity to order drinks. It was a lengthy break too, between ordering and the food arriving. When the bill arrived, there was an additional mystery item a graze box"? for £29.95 on my bill.It was removed when I queried it

Lakaz Maman
My favourite Mauritian restaurant. Every time I’m near Southampton, I always do a little detour to stop by and savour the delicious food and vibrant atmosphere. The staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. There are great gluten-free + vegan options. The house mocktails are sweet and refreshing, highly recommended. As starters we had the dirty fries, pineapple and cassava chips, then moved on to the mains (the names of which I forgot), a chicken curry-like dish and a sweet ‘n’ sour-type salmon, which we swapped for tofu (this was the star dish for us). There is a selection of home-made condiments that can be purchased, which allows to take some of the lovely experience back home.

Great street food. A variety including vegetarian was available. Curry chicken was very tasty as was the prawn dish. Lots of interesting drinks with herbs and spices. Services was excellent with friendly waitress.

Don't know where to start with this...an absolutely brilliant experience! Met Mark outside CIWYW on a Tuesday night when walking down the high street when we weren't able to eat. Explained situation with kids bedtime and if they could do a takeout, Mark explained they couldn't but if we booked the later in the week he'd open at 6 so we could as a family! True to his word we got to go on the Thursday evening and had a brilliant time, unreal food and drinks, got to meet some great people sat together and had the best dessert' on the island

Without a doubt our favourite place to go to eat. We’ve been coming for around a year now and have NEVER been disappointed. I have ARFID so eating out can be a bit of a struggle for me but I’ve always loved every single thing that I’ve eaten here. The service is so much fun, if you’re looking for a relaxed place to drink eat or have fun then this is your place to go!

Incredible.Booked on a whim last minute as staying in the area and reviews looked good - I can confirm it lived up to/exceeded expectations from the reviews and I will come out of my way from the mainland to visit again in the future!!The host was fab, a really friendly guy with a great sense of humour, and the food was amazing, perfect portion size for us with incredible flavours and an all round 10/10 experience.Thank you SO much :-)
