I used to love this place. sadly now high razor wire topped fences and patrolling guard dogs prevent access and spoil it's wonderful views. a simple land owners not responsible for personal injury" sign would have been enough. such a shame."

It's an old quarry and very dangerous, so they have security on site to keep people safe and stop them from swimming in warm weather. There are lots of lovely walks around here, but no legal access to the Middle Peak Quarry, you can get a good view from the Wirksworth Star Disk, which is amazing.

Had a great few hours here exploring this quarry. Quite beautiful in its own way and amazing to see close up just how much material has been removed over its working lifetime.

Nice place for a walk, to enjoy a sunset and maybe some interesting photos if you are not afraid to jump a fence and be careful where you step.

I love this place perfect for swimming also great for jumping. Lax security and clear waters make it a great spot just dont go too far in and sink!!
