I have been on the hi-fi upgrade path for over 35 years, and have bought equipment from very many dealers. But none have been so purchaser-friendly as Home Media Maidstone. Their manager, Simon Burton, recently made a 60 mile round trip for me to undertake a home audition of Magneplanar .7 speakers. The sound quality of these speaker is quite remarkable but, for practical reasons, they were not for me. Accordingly, Simon was very prompt in collecting them, and he made many valuable suggestions for an alternative upgrade path. Home Media is therefore very highly recommended.

I have used The Cinema Company since 2013 when renovating an old rectory. They were there from the beginning, helping me to design a cinema room with automatic blinds, recessed TV and projector screen. They put in a wifi network that covers the whole house, from Cellar to the fourth floor attic room and a HD CCTV system covering a large area around the grounds. Their service is first class and attention to detail is second to none. They have been great when I have wanted to expand and update things, adding outdoor wifi around the garden and Dolby Atmos in the cinema room and connecting a door station to the main gates connected to the Control 4 system. They have also integrated items into my home entertainment system that I acquired elsewhere. With their expertise and up to date knowledge they will work closely with you to design or upgrade any system you may wish, big or small. I might be biased as I have used their services now for seven years, but I would certainly recommend them for all your smart home, entertainment or security needs

Simon and the team have an excellent understanding of their products. They know what works well together when buying different products to make up a HiFi or surround system. Exceptional customer service and hifi expertise from Chris. I booked a home demo of the REL T9x subwoofer to go with my Marantz NR1200 receiver and BW 684 speakers streaming Tidal.Chris arrived on time and studied my system and suggested I move the speakers closer together to make more of an equilateral triangle with my listening position. He only toed them in slightly too, less so than I had before. I was unsure at first, but having had a few weeks to listen, together with the REL, it sounds more engaging and a better left-right and backwards image.The sub is impressive to look at and my whole system sounds incredible and I now have the bottom-end that's been lacking. It's not only the lower frequencies that sound better now, it seems to be much more than that. Well-recorded tracks like Come Together from The Beatles' album Abbey Road sound balanced, smooth in the bass and really musical. The sub even adds a new dimension to tracks with less bass. Deep strings and other low frequency elements sound full and powerful, yet not bloated or overpowering, always in control, as on Thomas Newman film scores, e.g. Rock Island, 1931 from Road to Perdition, Dead Already from American Beauty. Welcome to My World by Depeche Mode sounds fantastic as does Circle by Miles Davis.My room isn't ideal as there is a lot of glass and not really an option for room treatment, I need to persuade head of interiors {my wife) first! Every track I have listened to sounds immeasurably better than before and I am so grateful for the help that Chris and Home Media have given me.When I had finished the home demo, the process was that the demo unit was taken back, although I was given the option to try for a week, although I'd already made up my mind to go for it after listening. Chris sent out the new sub a few days later once I had said 'yes' and then we arranged a video call to help me wire it up and set the settings noted during the demo, as I live quite far from their hifi shop in Maidstone.Communication via email and phone was superb and all my questions and concerns were addressed promptly and with knowledge.You can probably tell I am a new fan of Home Media and thrilled with my new subwoofer! I wholeheartedly recommend Home Media in Maidstone and I will definitely come back to you when I am ready to upgrade speakers and amp.Thank you Chris!
