D-Day Centre & WW2 Museum - Portland, Dorset
This is probably the best interactive WW2 museum that you'll ever find! It's an amazing collection of weaponry, machinery, uniform, and local history, alongside a wealth of knowledge from its staff; It's definitely worth a visit.

Boys aged 9 and 10 had a great time. A little expensive so didnt get to see the museums it was extra. Felt we were rushed through each activity so very disappointed considering how much I spent

My 2 year old had a great time. They really should only promote it for 1-5 year olds (most of the low scoring reviews are from families with older children who feel duped)Those saying the bouncy castle was for 3+ ... maybe the guy just wasn't paying attention but my 2 year old went on without any issue.I was pleased they were very flexible with our entry time (we were 30 minutes early and they had no issue with us going in)

What a fantastic day! My 21 month old absolutely loved runny around and looking at all the different sections! My 3 month old also loves looking at all the lights.Cafe was fab with plenty of high chairs. I’d forgotten my flask and the lady behind the till was happy to sort me out with some hot water to heat baby’s milk.Once you’ve bought the tickets you can then go anytime once you validate your yearly pass. All in all a great day! Oh and right next to Halifax train station for easy transport!

Fantastic place to visit, very photogenic, guided tour available around the pottery at a small charge, beautifully laid out showroom with so many choices to purchase from a few euros to hundreds, the cafe is exceptionally well laid out and serves excellent quality food.I would certainly recommend a visit.

The Roald Dahl Children's Gallery
This was a fantastic day out with my 8 year old son.I was pleasantly surprised by how much there was to do.We thoroughly enjoyed the science exhibition which housed lots of hands on experiments, suitable for all ages. There were large magnets, electrical conductivity, centrifugal force and many more to play with. There was a museum of Buckinghamshire history, which was small, but well put together showcasing a range of finds from the county. A darkened sensory room (probably better for littler ones). The Roald Dahl gallery was brilliant. My (autistic) son was a little freaked out by some of the noise machines and dark spaces in here, but overcame this once he interacted with the exhibits and realised it was a lot of fun!Outside the café was a seating area and they'd filled the garden with stuff for kids to do. Water play, sand, musical instruments, a giant marble run. It was lovely sat outside here whilst the kids went off and played together, a good distance to keep an eye but not interfere.Cafe made a good cup of tea. Spent a good 3.5 hrs there and could have spent longer.Wish I'd taken more photos!
