Good children hospital, centrally located, has its own A&E, parking outside is an issue best to use nearby multistorey carpark, it's about 5 minutes walk, car park free of charge, drop off bay outside the hospital. #letsguide, #RACH, #Childrenshhospitalaberdeen, #ChildrenshospitalScotland, #NHSGrampian, #publicNHS, #aberdeen, #scotland, #publichealthcare

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent visit to your clinic and Dr Saso. My experience was marked by several critical issues that reflect poorly on your practice.First and foremost, upon arriving at the clinic, Doctor was informed by the phone that I came. The appointment was delayed by a significant 30 minutes ( started at 16.10) because it seemed that you were unaware of my scheduled visit but doctor was informed about me at 15.20 (my appointment was at 15.40). This administrative error raises questions about the efficiency and organization of your clinic.Furthermore, the lack of information about my medical history was alarming. Your assistant, Lauren, had supposedly booked my appointment via email, yet none of my medical data seemed to have reached you. As a result, you had no knowledge of my case, making the appointment feel disorganized and unprofessional.During my consultation with dr Saso, I sought your expertise for guidance on my medical condition. However, I was deeply troubled by your insistence on recommending an ultrasound without confirming its coverage with my insurance. Your push to proceed with the ultrasound, coupled with incorrect information about insurance procedures, was both unsettling and unprofessional. What was particularly disheartening was your approach in explaining the potential treatment options. Dr. Saso described the full surgical procedure in a highly insensitive and ironic tone. It is unacceptable for a medical professional to discuss a serious operation in such a disrespectful manner. To make matters worse, you completely disregarded the laparoscopic option (offered full cut 10 cm), which is a widely accepted and less invasive alternative.Additionally, Dr. Saso advised me to undergo extra blood tests (I already have all results no need any tests) and tube checks during the surgery, all while erroneously claiming that my insurance would not cover these essential aspects. This misinformation added unnecessary stress and financial burden to an already challenging situation. To compound my disappointment, Dr. Saso assistant Lauren's communication was sluggish, taking four days (and still waiting) to provide me with a letter from you. This delay further eroded my confidence in your clinic's professionalism and efficiency. In light of these distressing experiences, I regret to say that I cannot, in good conscience, recommend dr. Saso and his assistant, Lauren, to anyone seeking medical care. This visit has left me deeply dissatisfied, and I will be seeking a second opinion elsewhere.

I cannot praise and thank the staff here enough. Wow, from the moment my partner came in with contractions, the midwife was brilliant (Sandy). She really put us at ease and we felt so comfortable with such a kind human looking after us. I didn't manage to catch everyone's names but everyone was fantastic - the midwifes, assistants, aneatisists. I'd also like to thank George who delivered our baby, I cannot put in to words how much gratitude we have. You were amazing and are an absolute credit to your profession. Thank you so much, even though my partner was in a lot of pain (even more so after 6 failed epidural attempts) and probably didn't seem thankful at the time, we are so glad we got to share our special moment with you. Also all of the aftercare staff on the Rowan ward were brilliant, and just topped our fantastic experience. Thank you Hull Women and Children's for bringing my son into this world.Everyone will have their own experience but ours was the best, solely because of the staff here. Thank you again!(Also, I've seen some comments about rude behaviour to non-English families. My partner shared a room with an Eastern European lady, and they treated her just the same as my partner. Like I said just our experience...)

Dr Bushra Al-Rubeyi
Dr Bushra is an excellent paediatrician. She has looked after both our children during their early years and is extremely knowledgeable in a diverse range of children’s issues. She is not only thorough, but she also genuinely cares about the children she treats and has an excellent rapport with them. We highly recommend her!

The best place to bring your child when they are ill. The team are the experts. Parking is free if you park at the RIE and walk, otherwise parking can be booked in advance. Food options for visitors stop at 2pm over the weekend, so either come prepared or walk to the RIE canteen, however choices are limited and not great quality. M&S/ WHSmith are better options in RIE mall for sandwiches etc. No hot drinks allowed in wards.
