I cannot recommend Mr Athanasiou enough. He took so much time with me. From the initial consultation, seeing me through my gall bladder removal operation to my follow up appointments afterwards. He was happy to answer any questions, was knowledgeable, making sure I had thorough information about my condition and the procedure I was having. He was very kind and reassuring. I am very grateful for his help and feel like a new person since my surgery!

I met this amazing gentleman in April this year. From the moment I walked into his office I knew I had made the right choice of surgeon.He immediately put me at ease and over the last three months has been a constant source of knowledge, reassurance and kindness.Everything that he said he would do he did, even calling me today on a Sunday to check I was ok.This procedure was something that took me a long time to decide and act upon and the reason I chose Mr Alhamdani is that he was the only surgeon that agreed to see me face to face. Call me old fashioned but I needed to meet the man who I was going to trust to operate on me.I cannot thank Mr Alhamdani and his team enough for all that they have done.

From the initial enquiry to post op, I cannot fault the service and care that I have received from Mr Ali Alhamdani and his team. I would certainly without a doubt recommend Dr Alhamdani if you’re looking to have WLS. He is such a caring, knowledgeable and attentive doctor and certainly an expert in his field of work! I started thinking of having WLS last year. I did extensive research about it and whilst doing so, came across various clinics across the UK that do it. I chose to book a consultation with Dr Alhamdani especially due to the positive reviews I’d read. I had my initial consultation in May this year which was very thorough. Dr Alhamdani provided me with all the information I needed including the various bariatric procedures and also what he felt was most suitable for me based on information I had provided. He also clearly explained the possible risks and/complications etc. He advised me to take my time to think through what we had discussed and make a decision in my own time. I liked the fact that I did not feel pressured or rushed into making a decision. Over the next couple of months I had other consultations with different clinics; however, in the end, I chose to go with Dr Alhamdani. There was just something about him that gave me the reassurance and confidence I needed to go through the process under his care. He helped me to feel calm, relax and just trust the process. I finally had my Gastric Sleeve surgery in October and I’m now coming up to 6 weeks post op! I must say, I feel really amazing!!!! The whole process from start through to recovery has been smooth and it’s unbelievable when you start to see the results happen!! Whilst at the hospital, Dr Alhamdani came to see me before surgery, the evening of the surgery and the next morning before discharge. Following discharge, Dr Alhamdani checked in with me for the first couple of days and would provide useful advice and tips to aid my recovery, which I found to be extremely helpful especially that first week post-op. He also provided a mobile number I could call or text and advised I could contact him at any time, which offered me so much reassurance. All I can say is that I will forever be grateful to Dr Alhamdani for offering me the opportunity to change my life for the best through this process, by giving me the tool I needed to be able to achieve that. I am also so glad for trusting my gut instinct and opting to go with his team. I also want to thank his Secretary Nadia, who was so supportive, kind, patient and really helpful throughout this process! I can’t imagine the number of times I called her especially pre-surgery with all sorts of questions, bless her. She always made the time and was ever so sweet! I also wish to thank the nursing staff at the London Clinic especially Nuria, Alena & Mary for their amazing 5 star service! And also not to forget Dr Hassan the anaesthetist who was so lovely as well! And ofcourse my Dietitian, Cleverly! She is the absolute best and couldn’t have asked for a better Dietitian during this process. Basically, the entire team was brilliant!

If this is what the future private health care to , god forbid, replace the NHS, then God help us.I traved all the way from london to this hospital yesterday only to have the same diagnosis and test I had already had with my local ENT clinic. The consultant's priority seemed to be how quick he could get me out and his tone felt so umpleasant.At least in my local ENT clinic they showed more compassion and referred me to UCLfor more test. I was happy to sit and wait for this NHS appointment in February 2024 if it was not for my symptoms getting more severe again which prompted me to contact Benenden.I sent them the outcome of the initial diagnostics in my local ENT clinic along with the referral letter to UCL. But they chose to carry out the exact tests and dismissing carrying out any further test. The consultant, at some point, said my symptoms don't have any thing to do with my ear. I asked what could be causing my symptoms then?". His reply was" I don't know

Antonios is a marvellous surgeon, so kind, helpful and professional. He was so lovely to me during my initial consultatation, helped with problems getting my surgery booked and performed the surgery with tremendous success, leaving me back on my feet within a couple of days and able to go on holiday soon after. The best surgeon in the South of England for problems similar to mine!

I had kidney stones removed here and honestly I wouldn't go anywhere else. Mr Mackie listened to me and helped, understood the pain and dealt with it very quickly. Mr Mackie is an incredible doctor, him and his team were amazing throughout my treatment and I can't thank him/them enough. I'm now going to live my life happy again, thank you all.

On a social note, Mr Athanasiou was wonderful. On time, warm, friendly, funny, patient. I felt I had plenty of time for my questions. Also on my first visit, before we met, I saw him getting a coffee at reception and he spoke with all the staff there in a friendly way, just asking after them, etc., which seemed spontaneous and genuine.On a professional note, I had him for my gallbladder removal. Aside from the expected swelling/bloating for a few days, the usual tiredness, I had no pain whatsoever. I simply did not need pain relief. The scars are neatly done, and he said the sites were chosen to blend into the natural way my skin creases from where it folds when I bend or stretch.I can't recommend him enough.
