Just been on a full day beginners screenprint workshop . Brilliant day! Good equipment and tuition. Came away with ten prints which will be ideal for Xmas presents. feel enabled to come and use the studio myself.

The gallery of the Royal Cambrian Academy exhibits the work of its members. Practicing artists from throughout Wales form the membership and they are invited to exhibit at times collectively and also individually. It has two main gallery spaces a small one on the ground floor and a more expansive space upstairs. The members are a diverse group of artists and this is reflected in the varied interesting and exhibitions that are put on which change on a regular basis. The quality of the work is generally of a high standard and is well worth a visit.

A wonderful space and a cute cafe with some amazing art work on display. It's so nice to be in there and I enjoy the life drawing classes too!

It all began 3 years ago with a visit from a fabulous community minded duo whose aim was to share their art and creative skills to improve health and wellbeing.engAGE for people aged 55+ and Encompass are grant funded projects delivering activities and events from Linskill Centre in North Shields and we are hugely lucky to count takepART North East as one of our delivery partners. Jennifer has inspired our Hobby Club with a number of creative workshops where people can take the skills they have learnt to continue mindful crafting at home. Our service users report feeling happier and having more confidence after attending take pART workshops. The staff here are super friendly and are impressive artists.They offer some great experiences for the younger generation.

Great little venue which is run by volunteers, which is exceptional

The Summer Exhibition’s always a delight and this is when they get most of their traffic. There were some brilliant pieces here this year as well as lots that hit the ‘is it art?’ and ‘I could have done that’ mark. Entry are notably higher than when I was last in London but that’s true of everything. Definitely worth your time if you’re in the area, and a worthy destination anyway.

Friendly and welcoming creative space

Very thoughtful of the council to place a bench there so you can wait in comfort for the tow truck.
