Pleasant young man who was happy to help when my car wouldn't lock properly. Ended up needing a new part due to wear and tear". Ordered and fitted the part within 2 weeks despite being rather busy.On the first occasion was happy to explain what to look out for with regards to the minor problems which are within monitor and repair section of the mot certificate.On the second occasion was happy to return the car back to the owner as requested

Changed four filters and did oil change along with a stress test for general car health. Saw me in the busiest period and still only had to wait a week as opposed to the to a month which the main garages in town said. Great service.

Dean was so helpful - we have a VW T5 campervan and the door was locked closed, he showed us the security mechanism and fixed it for us on a Saturday morning first thing! Was very friendly and professional, highly recommend!! Thanks Dean!

Can't thank Dean enough. The diesel particle filter in my Vauxhall was playing up. On holiday in Skye and need to leave in one day. No one else would help me but Dean stepped in right away and I was sorted in half an hour. Thanks Dean

While touring the island, the plastic cover below our car broke. We called to ask and could immediately go to fix it. He not only removed it very efficiently but did not even charge us anything. Very friendly, helpful and generous person. We were unlucky but, then, very lucky.

When Mum's car failed us at the end of our holiday, we thought the journey home was going to be a pain. Dean stepped in, helped us over the phone so we could get the car started and get to him. Once there he really became our Hero of the Day and got us safely on the road... he even gave me a whole bunch of advice for minor problems I'm having with my car!I highly recommend Dean at Real Detail for his expertise, professionalism and empathy (not always a combination you find in that business!). Whether you live on Skye or are merely visiting and need anything car-related, he's absolutely the one to call. Insert all the stars here!

Needed a quick check up of my Ford Fiesta steering. Was creaking and squeaking yesterday. Called up, drove straight over and he gave a thorough check up of the car and everything was in order. Didn't charge as nothing needed fixing. Said we can call if things change. Would recommend.

Great friendly place for small, quick jobs. I burnt my brake pads out coming over the road from Applecross and they checked it out for me, ordered a replacement pair from Inverness and fitted them in less than 24 hours. Fantastic service!

Had an emergency whereby a passenger window wouldn't go up and we were due to leave Skye the next day. He managed to get a fix in for us despite it being pitch black on a Friday night! Super friendly guy and an excellent mechanic. Highly recommended!
