Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Good range of outdoor clothing,shoes and accessories.Well worth visiting if you are looking for quality gear.

Some of the staff need some customer service training, I asked about children's clothing and was told go on the Internet. Very unhelpful.I then went straight round to Mountain Warehouse who were brilliant.

Excellent shop with good selection of quality outdoor wear and equipment.

Walking the south west coast path with my girlfriend and half way through our beloved MSR tent poles snapped and ripped through the exterior sheet… a manufacturing defect which apart from that the tent has been amazing! We purchased a year ago from Cotswold outdoor, Scott and the other lovely staff at Cotswold Truro were amazing in sorting through our warranty and getting us back on the path as soon as possible. Excellent customer service! Would recommend :)

I went to the Truro store to try to find some walking boots. I had read lots of on line reviews and had settled on a couple of pairs that I liked.In store I tried the shoes on that I had read reviews of and they were totally unsuitable. Largely because of the shape if my feet.The sales assistant was excellent. After fitting we tried a number of pairs if boots. I bought a pair from a firm I hadn't considered. They were well priced.The sales assistant even advised me that I could take them home and wear them for longer and could take them back for a refund so long as they weren't damaged.I have now been wearing the boots for a few months and on some whole day walks. They are perfect.I have shopped at other branches of Cotswold and would shop there again.

Probably the worst presented store - for such a large retail space, it looks mostly empty (I genuinely thought they were closing down), a pathetic range of products and clothing - even local Ordnance Survey maps are out of stock; just doesn't represent the Cotswold Outdoors range. Staff are helpful - but they can only work with what they've got; not much! Store Manager needs sacking and the Area Manager needs a kick up the bum.

Have been shopping here on and off for years since they opened, liked the product range but always found the customer service to not be the best. However, during my last visit the customer service reached new lows exasperated by some sort of queue jumping appointment system. Will not shop there again, and have since found some of their products cheaper elsewhere.

Helpful and friendly staff. I bought some walking shoes on a recommendation of a member of staff. They are still going strong after nearly five months of trekking around Europe and the Egypt (and now Cornwall). Definitely good advice and will be back before my next adventure.
