Murray & Murray Hair

I have been having my hair cut and coloured by Rachel for over 25 years. I have curly hair and whenever I have had to occasionally had to go to other salons they have never been able to give me a decent cut.The salon has a very friendly atmosphere, I have always been seen on time, been treated courteously and I have never been disappointed.I would highly recommend anyone to give Murray and Murray a try if they are looking for a new hair salon.

What can I say. I have found my very own stylist. Rachel is an absolute delight. You simply tell her what you want and let her just do her magic. I have never met a stylist who will say no to something you request because they know it would be a disaster. She has cut and styled my hair twice now and not just myself everyone has absolutely loved the look and style. So if your second guessing don't just call and ask for Rachel.She listens to what you want and will put her very own stamp - one which you will not regret.

I have been a customer of Danny and Rachel for longer than I can remember. My Husband, son and daughter all come here for their hair cut also. They are both very hands on and have very friendly and attentive staff. My hair is very thick and curly and they always manage to get it looking lovely. They give great advice on caring for it at home and recommend products that they know will suit me.

Unfortunately I left with a £90 haircut and dye that I was not happy with at all. The colour is not sectioned correctly does not blend into my hair and there isn’t much of it on one side at all. People couldn’t tell I even had a hair cut or dye until they seen the orange bits in my hair. The colour I wanted was ashy but it’s turned out orange. The cut again no difference even though I wanted more cut off they just don’t listen really. I’m now getting my hair fixed by another hairdresser (who was also shocked at my hair) recommended to me by friends which is a bit disheartening.

Before I begin my review I must point out that if you click on directions to find the salon you will get lost. This is a fault on Google and nothing to do with Murray & Murray Hair. To use Google maps input 412 Bury Road Rochdale manually. Very easy to find once you look at the map.Now my reviewHad a brill afternoon with the lovely owners and staff whilst Rachael re styled my hair after a consultation.My hair was shoulder length and is now an undercut, disconnected pixie which takes skill and a lot of nerve to cut right.I was made to feel very special and I could not have asked for a more enthusiastic and skilled stylist. I left the salon feeling a million dollars.The salon is very clean and spacious with a coffee bar to one side where staff make beverages for customers.Price wise it is comparable to other salons in Rochdale.I am returning soon to have my hair coloured and can't wait to see the results.

Booked appointment and was advised over phone i dont need a patch test as i have had my colour done before from here. Taken time off work only to go to salon to be told i needed a patch test as its been more than 12 months which is fine its a legality.Problem is i was advised i didn't need to.Apparently they have been trying to contact me i did ring just the day before to ask why and again was advised just to confirm if i am attending my appointment no mention of patch test what so ever.Treated as if i was the liar and there staff wouldn't say that.Absolute shambles. Always used Murray and Murray for years but will not return again.

Have used this salon for nearly 3 years, both me and my daughter have both had many different treatments and have always been pleased with the results.Me and my daughter are both mixed race and have never been made to feel anything less then welcomed and with a wide range of knowledge amongst staff members, can say we have never had any issues with the treatment of our hair as both have curly hairKatie is amazing at what she does and so are all the other stylists.After simply Facebook searching only a few names from the negative reviews it's clear to see theses are not genuine reviews as most do not even live in England and clearly state we're they work.Just a shame that such a hard working local salon has become target to such nastiness.
