Lovely old school pub,friendly and welcoming staff and good ales,great service and atmosphere, reminded me of the pubs I went with my father many years ago, thoroughly enjoyed time spent in there,see for yourself.

Excellent old fashioned boozer but with a surprising selection of real ale. Place around the pub seems to smell of coal fires for some reason

Cracking little pub we found on a awayday to Peterborough. Great selection of ales lagers and spirits lovely staff and gaffer plus the locals are friendly to boot. We hope to return for the beer festival they hold.

Went to this fantastic pub last night: taken by friends for whom this is their local. Absolutely loved it. Super staff, including the landlord, really excellent beer with loads of choice. Very friendly and welcoming regulars. I’d be so happy to have a pub like this on my doorstep. I would be more than happy to call in for a pint or two by myself and know that I’d be welcome, and not get the “single woman on her own” creepy vibes that sadly still exist in less well-run pubs. A proper gem of a pub. I hope to return before too long - thank you.

Absolutely fantastic real pub . Landlord Steve made us feel so welcome would definitely recommend a visit to this pub. You might not want to go home.
