Absolutley love this place. We have visited twice now on our holidays and had two fantastic nights. The pub is spotless, the toilets are the best I have ever seen in a pub.The pub has really good feel to it with ages of 18 to 80+. The staff are very freindly and very efficient. Thank you

So I usually always stop here as it's a 30 minutes wait for my connecting train on the Strood platform, or a two minute walk here. It's always been friendly, warm, and good beer. I usually pick up a bottle for the train as I leave. Makes a tedious journey much much better

This pub is very handy if you're shopping in town and need a break or waiting for a connecting train from Strood. Very much a community pub with a wide range of patrons. Not one of those pubs where anyone new gets a gaze fixed on them. Friendly people ready to talk or you're left alone to mind your own business - you choose. Pub is well decorated in a good state of repair with a beer garden.
