Aberdeen Local Wine School
Anna hosted a fantastic wine tasting for a big group of us over in Oban. The selection of wines was perfect and allowed everyone to explore a wide range of different flavor profiles. All wines were accompanied by carefully selected cheeses that further enhanced the individual flavor of the wines. I learned a lot throughout the tasting - not only about tasting wines properly, but also about wine making and regions. Anna is a joy to listen to, she answered all our questions and made us feel very special. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who wants to have a wonderful wine tasting experience :)

Aberdeen Local Wine School
Attended a wine tasting at a friends house and couldn’t believe how fantastic it was. Decided to host my own sparkling wine champagne tasting for my birthday and again Anna did not disappoint. Her knowledge is amazing and she enjoys sharing it. More importantly the wines and cheeses etc that she supplies are so good - I can’t wait for the next one.

Anna organised an absolutely incredible wine & cheese tasting for us. I’m not even a white wine person and I came away speechless in the most positive way at some of the combinations and how they changed the flavour. Anna is super knowledgeable and friendly on top, recommend 100%

Great evening for my friend and I, facilitated by Anna at Olive Alexander’s , Aberdeen. Thoroughly enjoyed exploring the 6 wines (3 white, 3 red) and the 6 different cheeses to compliment. Bread and crackers to accompany too. Anna’s knowledge of the wines and experience was excellent, the evening passed all to quickly but was One that I would thoroughly recommend. Headed out to majestic the following day after the tasting to stock up on my favourite - PE folds ‘Max’s Shiraz-carbernet Sauvignon 2020’. Looking forward to the pleasure of doing it all again soon and continuing to develop our knowledge with Aberdeens Local Wine School.

I had a great time doing the WSET Level 2 course with Anna. Anna was very responsive and helpful when booking the course, providing a lot of flexibility for me due to having a holiday during the available dates. The course itself was good fun and a really enjoyable way to spend some Sundays. The support from Anna in the run up to the assessment was also much appreciated. I’ve learned so much and can’t wait to keep learning more!

Enjoyed a wonderful Saturday lunch and wine tasting at Malmaison with Aberdeen Local Wine School. Anna is so knowledgeable, and her friendly and informal teaching style makes the world of wine accessible for everyone! I came away having learnt about some of the regional differences and similarities of some of the wines which I'd usually go for, as well as having tried some varieties which I'd never tried before. A thoroughly enjoyable day out, and I'm already looking to book my next tasting with Anna!

Anna is a very engaging tutor and makes wine accessible to all whatever your reason for being there. I feel I’ve learned a lot, all of it useful. Often people feel the wine world is elitist or pretentious, but it isn’t with Anna!
