Excellent birthday cake enjoyed by all and the new shop is wonderful

Thank you to all for the cake made for Ben's 21st. I gave few details of a chemist brief and you came up with a beautiful design. We had a madeira layer and a chocolate layer, both were delicious!

Really pleased with the cake I ordered for my son's birthday. Everyone commented on how good it looked and tasted. Would definitely recommend!

We have all our birthday cakes done by Claire at Gordon’s cakes. Very tasty and clean and you get exactly what you ask for. Must say their banoffee cupcakes are the best ever too.

I don’t usually leave reviews but in this case thought it necessary as I am pretty disgusted.I ordered a cake for my daughters 18th Birthday. I emailed Claire and spoke to Kate on the phone and gave specific instructions on how l wanted the cake to look. Paid £65 and what I was presented with was definitely not what I asked for. The colours of the icing that l had requested were wrong and not only that but the cake looked cheap and tacky and “thrown together” with absolutely no creative vision, especially for someone who has been in this business for a long time.I proceeded to complain about the cake and was asked to bring it back so that they could “make changes” if possible. Unfortunately there wasn’t sufficient time in which to do so as the cake was needed for that afternoon although l was ashamed to present it to my daughter and display it on the table as it was such a mess. When l explained this via email l was apologised to and told that l could have a discount on any cake ordered in the “near future” I felt that this was extremely cheeky and not a remedy to the situation whatsoever. I will not be returning to purchase any more cakes from this shop as the service is mediocre at best and why should they benefit further from a mistake made on their behalf?I would urge anyone wanting a good quality and presentable cake to steer clear unless you want to risk wasting your money.

Ordered a Golden Wedding Anniversary cake. So happy with the cake I collected. Tasted as good as it looked. Price was very reasonable. Will purchase from them again and recommend to others.recommended to others.

Over 20 years using this company never again I ordered a cake for my sons 4th birthday. I asked for the cake to be EXACTLY how it was in the picture. For normal people that would mean same size same design, same decorations.. What I was presented with was nothing short of a quick botch job. The cake was was supposed to be round 2 layers what i have got is square with cracked icing on it black letters for a child? no marvel figures on it ordered 3 months in advance paid up front too i walked back to the car and cried I have no time to buy another cake and I feel utterly let down. So sad that I wasted my money and my sons birthday cake is ruined in my eyes

Had 50th birthday cake it was everything I hoped for beautiful tasted great will be recommending you thank you it made my daughter's day x
