Moat Island Glamping - Norfolk
Fantastic experience. We booked the whole site for a big family gathering and had a fantastic time. Will definitely come again. Lewis and Roy were really helpful booking in and place is amazing. Seriously comfortable tents with enough bedding for the whole family. Every tent has a BBQ and stove! Brilliant shares shower block (better than my shower at home! How many camp sites have slate tiles??). Also incredibly well equipped kitchen (definitely won’t need to bring anything to make even quite complicated meals) and a PIZZA OVEN!

We had a wonderful relaxing long weekend at Moat Island. A gorgeous location, not far from Norwich or the coast and some lovely walks just around the site. Lewis was so helpful and friendly. Really loved the natural pool for a refreshing dip. The facilities are great, with everything you need, we cooked in the communal kitchen and on the firepit at our tent. The tents themselves are great, really comfortable bed, kettle and a great log burner inside that kept us cosy. We cannot wait to visit again.

Okay guys, listen up! Book now! Seriously though, I can't rate this place highly enough. Everything was perfect. We stayed in the cabin. It was so cute and cosy, lovely log burner and a great little kitchen. The bed is super comfy. And just outside, the most wonderful wood-fired hot tub (we stayed in October)! While it heated up, we swam in the natural swimming pool. A wild swimmer's paradise. Taking a dip in such beautiful surroundings, while it was raining, was truly magical. Something I won't forget in a while! Then we got warm in the hot tub and watched the moon rise. All the practical things were spot on, facilities were really clean, showers were hot and powerful. Very posh! Communication with the owners was friendly and fast.We had a brilliant time, it felt like the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Will be recommending Moat Island to all our pals. Thank you! ❤️

There aren’t words to describe the tranquility and restorative vibe that encapsulates Moat Island. The tents were super comfy, every site is really private and has its own unique charm, the eco-pool was a highlight, the camp kitchen has everything you need and more, the wildlife and bird songs were so delightful, and the views are unforgettable. The site has been so thoughtfully & considerately designed that you feel as though you’ve just landed in a natural utopia. Can not rave about this place enough, would highly recommend and if we’re ever back in Norwich I’ll be booking more than 1 night. Thank you!

We stayed here this weekend for a mini half term break with our five year old and five month old baby. The host was amazing and very helpful leading up to and during our stay - we appreciated how easy the communication was given how busy our lives can be with the two smaller family members! Instructions for finding the site were very helpful and we arrived easily. The castel cabin was chilly when we arrived and we briefly worried it would be too cold for the baby, but the log burner heated everything up in a very short time and then stayed warm until we left two days later. It's a fairly warm late October (down to about 13/14 degrees overnight), but we were still impressed by this. The space was great - surprisingly roomy especially with the turret table/bed, and very well appointed. For anyone else who isn't sure, there is a toaster. The outdoor kitchen in the other part of the site has everything else you might want for cooking including a gas hob and proper oven if you'd rather use those. The electric hob in the cabin was great though. The outdoor space near the castle was fab - a large sail-like tented area for shade/rain cover and a big shared fire pit, plus the cabin and castle both have their own smaller fire pit and also a compost loo (great for middle of the night loo trips).Shower facilities were great - large and the water was hot. There are two loos and two showers per block of men's and women's facilities, plus a disabled loo (which possibly had a shower in, we didn't use this so didn't check) and three outdoor showers at the end. I'm not sure if they were heated as well as we used the indoor ones, but they looked very nice. The block is under the trees so it all smelt lovely and pine-y, and had nice views towards farmland. The swimming pond is really cool - we thought from the photos that it was a pond that had been artificially deepened and a jetty added but actually it's a very cleverly designed outdoor pool with a deep (2m) swimming section in the middle surrounded by little banks with nicely planted gravel/rocks. I am not keen on wild swimming because of the weeds etc but this was weed-free and looked very pretty. On a hot day it would be great! The woodland next door was beautiful especially at this time of year with millions of toadstools. We saw lots of wildlife including bats, birds of prey, and deer. All in all a wonderful stay and a place we hope to come back to. We love privacy on glamping campsites and really fancy the bell tents next summer, with their self contained little glades.

Fourth visit and still as good as the first! The small changes they’ve made are really impressive with a cleaner natural pool. I can’t recommend this place enough, it’s so peaceful and the BYOB tent is located perfectly for the evening sun and saves you a few quid for the minor inconvenience of bringing your own air bed. Will be back year after year, keep up the great work guys.

Lovely feeling back to nature in the beautiful surroundings. Felt very rustic and could have been anywhere was so peaceful and much needed downtime. Site was well maintained with great amenities in the communal areas. Having our own fridge freezer was a wonderful idea. Toilet and showers were super clean. We will definitely be visiting again - highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at Moat Island Glamping. We hired the yurt with a hot tub and it was perfect. The fairy lights make it very magical in the evenings. It had everything we needed - plus, warm down duvets and comfy beds! Great price too. Highly recommend.

We had such a wonderful weekend at Moat Farm Glamping. We had a bell tent with our 2 boys aged 5 and 1 and it was perfect. Such a relaxing environment. We didn't light the woodburner in our bell tent as there was no surround to stop our toddler touching it, but the weather was warm so we didn't mind. We didn't ask for a surround, so I'm not sure if they have them available or not? The natural swimming pool was so lovely and we all had a dip! Followed by the wood fired hot tub was brilliant! The shared kitchen was a great space with our own fridges meant we had loads of room for our food. The toilet and shower block was immaculate and lovely to have. Thank you for such a great stay, we will be back!
