Whitakers Farmhouse Eggs & Cheese

I visited this stall previously and the woman behind the counter is the most miserable, uninviting and rude person ever. I am unsure why you have someone like this behind the counter serving customers.The first encounter, we arrived just before 4:30pm and the lady was packing everything away and got awkward with us when we wanted to buy some cheese. She also refused to accept card payments as she was packing up. What kind of business do you run that your staff are packing up for the day at 4:30pm when your opening hours close at 5pm.The second encounter my mum came alone, and this happened today. It was the same rude staff member and she was abrupt for no reason and refused to answer her questions and went to the next customer.Due to these two encounters we won't be visiting your business again. I suggest you speak to this employee as she thinks she is something special, her customer skills are a joke. If this is the owner then I suggest you think about how to deal with customers properly.

Great eggs, best value for free range eggs in the city.

Visited to buy a selection of cheeses for my office Christmas party. The shop assistant Al was so very accommodating, offering up advice on the taste and texture of the cheeses and advising if my selection had too many similar cheeses- as a wide variety was required.I didn't feel rushed during the selection process. With Al labelling all the individual cheeses to ease future identification.A really good shopping experience.11 out of 10. Above and beyond a normal shopping experienceI will return

Don’t understand the negative reviews. The young person behind the cheese counter was super helpful, friendly and efficient today. Helped me choose the right cheeses. Top marks.

It is located near the fish row. Easy to find.Nice staff and good service.Lots of choice egg size-small, medium, large, extra large egg. Brown and white eggs available and different quantityInside in the fridge there are milk products, such as milk and whipping cream, and there are lots of cheese.Besides, there are some traditional biscuits, suc as ginger biscuit, golden snap. Orange freshly squeezed juice is also available by the machine.

Good variety of cheeses and chutneys. There are also fresh orange juice, eggs, brandy snaps and ginger biscuits. Would definitely come here again.

Andrew is a true gent.He keeps a well stocked, clean shop.The farm eggs are amazing. So much better than the tasteless pale ones you buy from supermarkets.Would highly recommend.

Not a lot of choice, you're gonna find 3 different industrial brie cheeses, 3 different industrial goat cheeses, same with the blue cheese, pretty expensive as well. And never a smile. When I go here, I feel like I'm bothering the sellers. They don't let you try and they don't know their products. They can't tell you if a cheese tastes more like parmesan or gouda. They have mozzarella, but it's not bufflonne. What's the point?Edit: 6 months ago you didn't have any bufflonne, buflonne is buffalo mozzarella, don't act like you don't understand what I'm speaking about. Also, 2 years ago before COVID, trying was already out of the question. Also, goat cheese covered in ash has no strong taste, so yeah I'm going to complain when the only choice you have is industrial or soft. And your staff is so rude you can't ask them for any information.
