Jack and the team did a fantastic job in providing structural calculations and drawings for our home renovation project. Jack's friendly approach made him a pleasure to work with. With his fantastic knowledge of the Building Regulations, he was able to give really good advice on how we could cost effectively achieve our initial concept. Drawings were delivered exactly when promised, to outstanding level of quality and attention to detail. I would definitely recommend JMEC to others.

I contacted Jack for a fairly complex extension in York that involved much work around the steel structures to support the build. Jack was prompt with his detailed reply, offered a competitive price and gave me great confidence that the work would be carried out to the highest standard.Jack followed up with a site visit (the dog loved him!) and went into great detail over the work and followed up with the detailed drawings and calculations only a few days later. I have no hesitation in recommending Jack for any Structural Engineering work and would certainly pass his details onto any friends and family that require such services.I would give 6 stars if I could. :-)

Jack Merritt came out to inspect the structural safety of our chimney. He was friendly, professional and really helpful. He took the time to show me what he was looking at and to explain it all which was really interesting. We got the results promptly. Highly recommend.

We found Jack through the IStructE Find An Engineer online service to advise us about cracks we'd found in our extension and options for further internal changes to our house.He arrived promptly and made a thorough inspection before advising us about remedial work needed to the extension put up by a previous owner, as well as the possibilities for any other changes.Jack also offered to draw up technical plans, if needed.We found him easy to deal with, courteous and professional, and would recommend him to anyone else needing a structural engineer.

After emailing around fifteen engineers for calculations to be made for removing two structural internal walls, JME Consultants were one of just four companies to get back to us. We decided to use JME because of their professionalism and thoroughness which was apparent from just a couple of emails. Jack was very prompt to respond and conduct a site visit, after which he produced some very detailed plans which I could hand over straight to our builder to conduct the repairs.
