Iv been twice now for a beautiful meal and the staff are fab! They catered for my dad’s wake and nothing was too much trouble for them! Will be back again.

The first stop on our trip to Scotland, and one of the most beautiful and friendly.The atmosphere was warm in this pretty family pub, the meal was exquisite, my fish and chips delicious and we spent a very good evening washed down with a good Rioja.The very comfortable and quiet rooms allowed us to have a good night's sleep before hitting the road again after an excellent and hearty breakfast.My reading tablet, accidentally forgotten under my pillow, was very quickly posted by management, whom I thank.Only happiness during this first stage, and we wish the best to the “boot and shoe inn”

We were looking for somewhere to eat in the area and stumbled across this place. We were really really impressed. Amazing service, nice wine, epic food and great atmosphere. My favourite pub visit in years. Thank you!I ordered a Thai curry as it was dairy free and meets my dietary requirements. I’ve Thai food so tend not to order it as it’s usually a disappointment, but it was delicious. Very impressed - compliments to the chef.

Restaurant review. Discovered this place 6 months ago and have been about 6 times. Usually food amazing and have introduced several local people to eat here. However, went last Saturday evening and classic meal of gammon was awful and not cooked, had to return twice but by this time my partner had finished her veggie burger. The burger meals used to be unbelievably good with homemade slaw, a mass of salad and vibrant coloured chopped peppers. No longer. It appears the new chef can cook Korean and Thai but not English pub classics. Worse I had to really insist on not paying for My uneaten meal. This pub needs to be careful as customers travel specifically to attend the restaurant or stay, passing trade is limited so your chef and your customer service need to be better otherwise customers, like me will not venture out to Flintham anymore.

Our nearest local pub. Nice selection of ales. Had a meal there at lunch time. Nice and hot and good quality. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. Comfortable seats. Bet there will be a rush for the tables next to the log burner. Have booked a table again, for an evening meal.

My husband found this lovely village pub whilst working nearby and we decided to visit today, not disappointed at all. Friendly welcome, my cappuccino was not and the food was beautiful. We both had the pate, hubby had the fish & chips and I had the chicken, both beautifully cooked and presented nicely, it was nice to have an alternate veg like red cabbage instead of carrots & peas. The price was very reasonable and to top it all they are dog friendly. Definitely will be visiting again.

Just ate here for dinner - absolutely amazing food with generous portions, a lovely pub atmosphere, and dog friendly! The epitome of a proper good English Pub! The staff are so lovely and friendly and made us feel so welcome. The drinks and food were fantastic. Will absolutely be eating here again and again!So thankful it’s reopened and come back better than ever - a proper village pub!
