Holland Mill Wood
Adjacent to the Essex Wildlife Holland Pits reserve, this area of mixed wood and scrubland is home to numerous adders and the occasional slow worm as well as a good variety of birdlife. It is a pretty, tranquil area and benefits from a couple of benches and only a few simultaneous visitors due to the small Essex Wildlife car park, which only accommodates about 8 cars.

Best place in tendering to walk, really quiet and beautiful paths, over all different levels, loads of stairs in one part so if you happen to have a wheel chair or pushchair you may wish to avoid some of the paths.Really nice map to help with the paths in a few places around the walk.Always volunteers there cutting back the hedges very polite and talkative
