Tucked away at the back of a housing estate, this is a beautiful abbey. Unfortunately because it's open to the public it hasn't been well looked after.If you can ignore the litter and light graffiti it's definitely worth a 5 minute visit.

Nice church. Parking is difficult and if you follow maps straight to it you end up stuck down a narrow lane. Would recommend parking before you get to it.

This is a fantastic church with some of the best architecture that I have seen in Scotland the site is free and there is a small car park near the site also it isn't covered in scaffolding which most sites in Scotland seem to be at the moment well worth a visit if you are passing by

Building is interesting but no signs or information about the history of the site which is a huge pity. Every room was littered with broken glass/bottles and it was stressful with young children because of this as I was worried they would get hurt if they fell or if it went into their shoes. Evidence of fires also. Grounds poorly maintained with a lot of dog mess. Street parking is OK. Site has a lot of potential but needs more investment. Until this happens I would strongly advise not going it's a waste of time as it is.

The building is wonderful; atmospheric but suffers from lack of supervision. Some litter here and there. Someone seems to have tried to light a fire in the piscina. The usual bits of litter from fast food outlets.The grass is well looked after and the photos do the place proud.It’s quite fiddly to get there through a large local authority estate.Try to ignore the approach. I should have bought a bin liner and tried to clear up myself!

Such a forgotten gem. I've been going here since I was around 3 years old and I have always found it such a beautiful and relaxing place. The ruins themselves are beautiful to walk around and the surrounding areas near the river and the orchard are a fantastic walk. Lots of wildlife to observe and a fantastic spot for dog walking and picnicking :)
