A great local shop in normal times. Superstars during lockdown. Fantastic quality fruit, veg, dairy and baked goods.I wanted to update my review a couple of years on to say that we continue to order from Fred Hallam online and they continue to deliver very high quality fruit and veg (and nice cheese and other good things!). They even went the extra mile this week by doing an extra drop-off of a couple of items that weren't available as the rest because we ordered so late in the day! Above and beyond.

Proud to still shop at Hallams after over 15 years. Their fruit, vegetables and fish are the freshest in town. Excellent service and feels a lot safer than the big supermarkets and no added unnecessary plastic. Bring your own bags or use paper provided.Second to none. Good old fashioned values and excellent customer service, with Saturday's fish range a treat.Still fantastic. Cheaper deals, free produced and smashing staff! X

Saw a very rich man from London with prada shoes in here recently - top notch food, but a bit on the pricey side for us peasants. I sincerely hope that SMEs such as this are provided with the necessary support from the government in the coming months so that they may thrive and continue to provide essential goods and services to the constituents of Broxtowe.

Have been using Hallam’s for 5+yrs.There veg and all produce is so much fresher and better than the equivalent supermarket stuff.Can’t remember ever getting anything that needed return or binning.Through lockdown we have been using their delivery service. Have a Covid vulnerable family member so this has been amazing for us. Delivered produce always to the same high standard. Friendly doesn’t do them justice they have been so much more. Simply cannot do enough to satisfy customers.So lucky to have them on our high street, would never go anywhere else.Thank you Fred Hallam’s

Best products fresh from farm. Daily fish supplies from Cornwall and the coast. Great selection of seafoods with reasonable price. All seasonal fruits and veggies are available. Located right in the Beeston high street with easy access by foot. Love this place. Very helpful staff and always there to help

OMG, the king scallops and raw king prawns were so delicious it was like being back home on the Gulf of Mississippi! Costly, but delicious. £20 served 3 hungry people, linguine with white wine cream sauce, shallots, garlic, scallops and king prawns with parmigiana cheese and parsley on top! My recipe! Thanks

Bought fish there yesterday. Cost quite a lot of money and i know fishmonger is not responsible for the taste but feel they should have feedback.I have experience in cooking and eating fish in several countries I have lived in,and this, for the price paid, was awful. Completely flavourless. I didn't want to drown out the flavour of the fish, but now wish I had spiced it up as was extremely bland. Disappointed
