Cut and shaped my own nails very short and the gel that was put on just looked like a dome on the top of my nails. Next day my fingers were very sore because of the shortness of my nails. First time I have had gel nails and it has put me off doing this again.

I went in for a manicure to include removal of existing gel. They actually started to peel the gel off rather than soak or buff! There were 3 men in total that acted like they didn't have a clue. And none of them spoke English! I would have expected at least minimal proficiency. This was my first bad experience with a nail shop in 45 years of getting my nails done. So I suppose I'm lucky. These men were so badly behaved, I just walked out after 5 minutes.
