Benthyg Cymru/Penarth are NOT ALLOWED TO ACCEPT DONATIONS.This is due to the fact they are a community interest company (CIC) and not a charity. The law states that a community interest company cannot solicit funds from the public (accept donation) unless they have a specific cause. Something like raising money to fix a community centre roof, they are not allowed to use donations to build a library of things.The main reason a CIC cannot accept donations is because they can pay their directors unlike a charity.By accepting donations they are breaking the law, and you will be assisting them in breaking the law by donating items to them.Do yourself a favour, donate your items to a charity and not to a company posing as one where the profits go back to the community, not the company.Check the charity commission and HMRC websites for more info.

Such a great idea, and with plenty of useful objects available.We borrowed a dehumidifier, and it helped clear up a damp issue in our bedroom very quickly.I'll be renting some more stuff soon, as there are all kinds of great tools ready to be used.

So convenient when you need a specific tool or item but it's not worth buying your own. Lovely team.

I borrowed a strimmer and a hedge trimmer for a week from Benthyg. Not only were the items top quality, it only cost £7.50. Incredible value. Would recommend.
