What a great event, Marc is a great tutor. I have been on a couple of Marc’s courses and enjoyed them thoroughly. They are great fun, and an amazing learning experience, I can’t recommend them enough. The venue is great too, the studio is set within the heritage stable courtyard at Walton Hall Warrington. The studio is well set out, light airy and gives a really professional setting to enjoy the day. To note, not stuffy or formal, very engaging and great fun.

I attended Marc Turner's two day Introduction to Oil Painting course this weekend and it was brilliant. Marc is a very good teacher, knowledgeable, informative and encouraging. What he doesn't know about making paint probably isn't worth knowing! Everything you needed was supplied and the course was very good value for money.This was the first thing I have attended since before the lockdown, and all was handled safely and professionally.I would fully recommend Marc's painting school to anyone looking to learn to paint, or just looking for encouragement to keep painting.

Spent the day with Marc on his Paint like Bob Ross course.Got to say the studio is amazing and Marc is a very good teacher. I have never painted anything before but always been a fan of Bob Ross.Marc was very welcoming and also very funny. His class is easy to follow and i can't reccomend it enough!Met some great people and we all had a great day.

I spent an afternoon a week for 10 weeks learning to paint, starting from zero experience to producing images that I’m proud of. Marc creates a welcoming and relaxing environment, where he freely shares his wisdom and guidance. Highly recommended.

What a great weekend I’ve just been on the 2 day beginner’s oil painting course. Marc is an experienced , enthusiastic tutor who through constructive encouragement installs confidence into his pupils. I had never worked in oils before but by the end of the course I was able to walk away with 2 paintings to be proud of. All materials are supplied and the workshop had an excellent location next to the Heritage Cafe at Walton Gardens which is great for a drink or snack . Skills were shared and advice given not only about types of materials to work with but also how to dispose of them in an economic and environmental manner. I will certainly be booking another course with Marc Thank you Marc.

Although I'm not new to drawing, I'm a complete beginner in painting and had always wanted to learn properly. I've recently completed a couple of 2-day courses with Marc (Introduction to Oil Painting and Paint Like Turner). This time spent with Marc has been extremely inspiring and has made me want to pursue painting further! I've learnt some great skills that I'll continue to use at home.Marc is a brilliant teacher. He is patient, enthusiastic and encouraging. He knows how to work to peoples' strengths and get the best out of them. He is a talented artist and as well as all this, his lessons are fun and entertaining! I had a great time throughout both of these courses and I'll definitely be back for more! I'd recommend Marc's classes to anyone. No matter your current skill level, if you'd like to learn/improve your painting in a relaxed, fun, friendly environment, you won't find better than Marc!

If you're looking for a great local art workshop with a teacher who caters to all skill levels then Turner's painting school is for you. Marc's classes are both fun and educational, whilst designed to build your confidence to paint. I opted for the 2 day beginners oil workshop, I'd painted watercolours before but didn't know where to start with oils. So glad I did, what a blast. Others on the course included absolute beginners and others like me who had some ability, Marc was able to pitch the course just right for everyone, we created some great pictures and definitely gained confidence in putting down paint! All materials provided, great value, I'll definitely book again. Thanks so much for a great course Marc.

Attended Marc's class to paint like Bob Ross.This was a fantastic experience, Marc was very knowledgeable, informative and a lovely relaxed manner.From the moment I arrived I felt very comfortable and ready to learn. I had not painted before and with Marc's direction and instruction I managed to produce a reasonable piece to look at.I cannot recommend Marc's class highly enough, everyone on the day were thrilled with the experience and it was earth every penny. As someone who hadn't painted since primary school I was extremely cautious about turning to painting. Marc was exceptionally kind and patient whilst being extremely thorough. I learnt multiple techniques and created art that surprised myself and my family. Good enough to display! I'm already hunting for the next course.
