Yoga Bespoke

Very pleased with the yoga class and the studio's relaxing location with the lake and wildlife. Alexis was very welcoming and helpful with us (a couple of novices) and will be making this a regular activity.

Fabulous yoga studio in a calm and beautiful location.I highly recommend Lucy's vinyasa flow classes on a Sunday morning as well as restorative with Kate on a Friday evening.Also a variety of interesting workshops with excellent guest instructors.Very lucky to have Lake View so close to me !

Lucy and the team of professionals at lake view yoga have been exceptional. Yoga has changed my life. I feel better now in my 60’s than ever.

I’ve sporadically dipped into practising yoga over the last 20 years or so. This has included attending a couple of ‘in-spa retreats’ where yoga classes were led by luminaries such as Simon Low. Also classes at the Iyengar Yoga Institute during a month in New York.Yoga and I never really clicked and it wasn’t until last year that I decided to give it another try. I knew my preference was for the type of yoga where poses are held rather than flowing through what feels like a complicated routine. After researching, I narrowed it down to Hatha yoga. Then came the challenge of finding a studio that offered a frequent and convenient class schedule.After much searching through google, I came across Lake View Yoga (now Bespoke Yoga). This seemed to offer a varied class selection and appeared to have a beautiful location. I first gave it a try in September last year and haven’t looked back since. What a superb find Lucy and her studio have turned out to be.Lucy has the deepest yoga knowledge and experience so much so she also runs a school for yoga teachers. What really stands out are her teaching skills. I’ve never known a yoga teacher provide such articulate descriptions as to how to position yourself into a pose. Not only this but she gives constant commentary on refining your pose so you get the maximum benefit from holding yourself within it. No two classes are ever the same and I always leave feeling enlivened and very happy I chose to attend. It’s also a big testament to Lucy’s professionalism and skills that she has a loyal following of many regular clients who seem to have been with her for years. To top it off, the spotless studio is indeed in the most tranquil and serene setting in the middle of a lake.Lucy, her classes and her studio are as close to perfection as I could hope for. I’m now a definite yoga convert and really look forward to attending Lucy’s Hatha yoga classes twice a week. Also the periodic 2.5 hour workshops she runs which give a much deeper understanding of and opportunity to perfect poses.I feel very fortunate to have found and be able to join classes at Bespoke Yoga and can’t recommend Lucy and her studio highly enough.

I’ve been practising yoga with Lucy for almost 9 years. She is an excellent teacher, extremely experienced and safe, and is very good at helping all students practise to their individual ability. Her classes never repeat, which is an amazing testament to her breadth of knowledge and preparedness for class.Lake View Yoga is a fantastic space in which to practise. It’s always spotlessly clean and warm and the light quality and views (which change with the season) make every class very special.

A beautiful location on the lake which provides a wonderful atmosphere for your yoga practice. I always feel that each class has been planned for me specifically as you are encouraged to listen to your own body, its strengths and limitations and given choices to adapt the postures to suit you. There is a great choice of classes for all levels so you can go strong or just immerse yourself in some gentle stretching. An excellent studio. I've been coming to classes here for over six years.

I have followed Lucy's yoga teaching from afar from years, and up close for the last few. The classes at Lake View Yoga are inclusive, varied and accessible. The instruction is clear, professional and encouraging. I have studied as a student, and trained as a teacher. I have been able to enjoy the use of the beautiful and atmospheric studio at Lake View, and also the many classes available on Zoom. A wonderful studio run with love and passion for yoga and the students.

Deciding to start yoga in my fifties seemed pretty daunting but Lucy and her team have been there for me from day one. Lucy has been an inspirational teacher and after 8 years of her classes I still leave the mat feeling exhilarated and wiser for the tuition. Her enthusiasm and passion for the essence of yoga and her teaching style are real blessings.The amazing setting for her studio also complements the yoga perfectly.

Joining Crawley Yoga - now Lake View Yoga - 5 years ago was one of the best decisions of my life. The classes have improved my physical and mental health and it is also a great introduction to the spiritual side of Yoga for those who embrace that.The teachers are all great, handpicked and often trained by the owner Lucy of course, and have quite different styles which means that a variety of classes give you a very rounded skill set.Most importantly. all the teachers and practitioners are lovely and I have made lots of friends.Highly recommended.

I’m so grateful that I discovered Lucy and the magical Lake View Yoga. Such a beautiful and tranquil place to practice even when it’s raining! Lucy and all the teachers are so kind and welcoming as are the people who attend the classes. I highly recommend to anyone.
