Such a great place to get your nails and beauty needs done! I always get nails and brows done. The girls are always so friendly and welcoming. My nails are so out of this world thanks to Charley’s incredible art work. Cannot recommend wink enough

I was told WINK has been in the district for some years so I decided to have my first manicure experience there last week. As simple as single color, quality was way below expectations sadly and does not look like on their IG pictures at all. I thought I would get used it but I couldn’t, all my friends say I should change a nail salon.I told Miss Lucy clearly I would like to keep square shape (my original was sharp square shape). My nails was not broken or too short as well, I don’t understand the need of rounding the edges. Turned out it’s a weird asymmetrical round shape. I can accept a round shape but a proper round shape please. The outline is also not even smooth. Even worse, the gel was not applied smoothly so some nails look obviously uneven under sunlight.Also, she could not remove my old gel (different material) so she had to spend more time. When I paid, I was told to pay double more for the longer process. I felt fine to pay more as she spent more time, yet the staff could have communicated with client in advance about price increase, especially I am the first time manicure customer, I don’t the policy of charging how much more.Further to your reply:***You might misunderstood my point. As said, i am happy to pay more as she spent more time, my point is you have to let customer know how much more, or tell them to pay a not transparent fee when they pay. Better communication was expected.Lucy did not ask me if the shape is ok, she only asked how short i want to cut and i said yes this is the length, i did not look at the nails every second as i trusted the nail artist to be able to do sth basic- keep original square shape. And again as i said if she somehow did round shape, i can still accept if if this is a proper round shape. There is no excuse the outline is not even smooth and asymmetrical. Pls dont blame the customerI understand if you could not remove my original gel. Maybe apply a thicker gel or another layer or use electronic device more to remove? She did use the electric file to remove my original gel but this is due to poor skill! that it was not removed smoothly. I have done nails 50 times in my life and removed by my electronic file they could all remove it smoothly. I would appreciate if you told me you think using too much file can hurt my nail bed and the result would be not satisfactory. I would have a different expectations and know the risk. However i was not told the result would be uneven or she could not remove all or offered any alternatives. This is far off from my expectations.The eyelash girl was good and the overall shop looks nice and clean so i gave a higher rating at your system. But the result quality is very disappointing!FYI: you don’t have to remove all the gel to have a smooth surface to apply for new gel. This is also not good for the nails. You can remove it in a technical way using electronic file but can still apply gel smoothly. Or another way is to adjust the shape by gel applying skill. I have done and learnt all these in other shops which they are capable of.
