My Private Midwife

We've used My Private Midwife services for our first baby, both pre & post natal, and have had an amazing experience.Odette is really professional, knowledgeable, always available and also lovely. She will talk you through all options but let you make your own informed decision. Through the sessions and her advice, we felt really prepared at each stage of the pregnancy and for birth. I had a very positive birth experience and I'm sure it is thanks to her fantastic support and preparation.Post Natal services have also been really complete, with visits throughout the first few days and weeks of our baby. NHS support is really poor (especially during Covid), it was amazing to have Odette at hand to ask questions, concerns, check the baby top to bottom and have some initial help on taking care of a newborn. She is also really looking after the mum and checking recovery progress. I would highly recommend Odette and definitely will use her services again if needed :)

When we first contacted Odette she answered within minutes and we arranged our first consultation. It was uncomplicated, and we soon found her very knowledgeable, warm and trustworthy. As we were new to the UK, and it was our first baby, Odette explained everything very well and helped us with so many things. She had an answer to all our questions. After a very difficult first birth experience and post partum, I was approaching my second delivery feeling very fearful and anxious. This time around I strongly wanted a positive birth experience. After speaking with a few different midwives, we immediately knew Odette and Nadia were exactly what we needed - kind, experienced, knowledgeable and present. And we were right.They visited us weekly before delivery and we instantly felt reassured, empowered and ready to welcome our second child. Odette and Nadia were contactable 24/24 every day of the week to answer all our questions and give us the much needed peace of mind.When the day arrived, Odette guided us clearly and calmly through every step, initially by phone and then in person, supporting us actively from early labour until birth. Everything went exactly as I hoped for, and we felt listened to and safe the whole time. Odette’s presence, kindness and reassurance were essential - I delivered a 4,9kg baby boy naturally.After birth we received daily visits from Nadia and Odette. They paid attention and took care of every single aspect, making sure both the baby and I felt well. We received a lot of really valuable advice and further guidance, which made the post partum so much smoother and enjoyable.We will always be grateful to them and cannot recommend them enough!

I can not recommend Odette enough! We decided last minute to go with a home birth due to the current situation with COVID-19 and didn’t want to be in a hospital. This is something that I would have never chosen to do and was very nervous about doing so. From start to finish Odette was absolutely amazing. Not only was she extremely professional providing the most incredible service far more information and help than what we would have ever got if we were at the hospital. But she was also extremely personable and on hand and always went above and beyond. Odette was always on hand either to come to me at short notice or on the other end of the phone to help with any concerns that I had.Thanks to Odette my labour was a very calming experience (completely different to what I had experienced before), and the aftercare was second to none. The support that Odette gave me was absolutely fantastic. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her. She reassured me and guided me every step of the way. Checking in on me every day. Helping with my breastfeeding journey and ensuring that my mental health did not suffer in one bit what so ever.I can’t stress enough that a home birth is something we would never have considered but now it would be our only option.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Highly recommend their care to any pregnant woman, you wouldn't regret it! It's so incomparable to have a continuity of care , someone who knows you, someone who you trust! Odette and Nadia helped me to have the best experience in my life, that i could imagine for my homebirth.They are so resourceful, kind, friendly, caring, knowledgeable, professional, they helped me with the hospital continuous monitoring, all kind of support with the NHS and at home.My first birth at the NHS hospital was traumatic for me and for my baby, and I wished a different experience with my second one. I firmly decided on home birth only at 37 weeks, and started to research for private midwife. After very first conversation with Odette, I realised that she is the right person, and almost immediately we proceeded with the contract (as the time was tight). We still have 6 visits before the birth, and every time it was a great experience! Odette and Nadia were also available online 24/7 for any questions - I felt truly supported and cared for!I finally gave a birth right after week 42 through a natural beautiful homebirth to my 4.5 kg baby! It was such a happy moment to heal the previous trauma and have everything as we dreamt! It was only possible with Odette and Nadia! They continued to support me after birth with the best advice on recovery, which i didn't have with my first baby!I can't recommend them enough to anyone who considers private care!

I cannot recommend Odette highly enough.She came to see us when I was suffering with Day 4 baby blues and struggling to breastfeed. Before Odette arrived I was feeling like I was failing at breastfeeding and was concerned about the baby’s health. Odette put me completely at ease and showed me how to encourage the baby to feed well. She helped me regain my confidence as a new mum.We will never forget the help and support she gave to our family at one of our most difficult moments.

I cannot recommend Odette enough! She has a wealth of knowledge and is extremely reassuring, calm and professional. We looked forward to seeing her during our home visits, as having her support and advice really was invaluable! She gave my partner and I so much confidence in pursuing a home birth and welcoming our first child into the world.No doubt we will be contacting her for any future pregnancies!

Odette was incredible and I would highly recommend an appointment with her. We recently had our first baby and left the hospital feeling overwhelmed and underprepared. Various Standard follow up appointments with NHS health visitors/midwifes made us feel confused and deflated due to conflicting lots of advice. Odette came over and gave us the confidence boost we needed. She checked over both me and my baby throughly and reassured us that we were doing great. We had so many questions and Odette advised us on each one with simple/manageable organic changes that we knew we could introduce easily. I would 100% recommend Odette to anyone expecting or postnatal, the advice And care we received from her have been invaluable and we are still implementing her advice even now!
