Awesome, best approach from High Style and descend down to Buttermere. Do not try to go directly down from summit, can get tricky.

One of my favourite Fells in the Lake District NationalPark. This is simply because the views from here are unparalleled and amazing. The least difficult way up Red Pike from Buttermere is to walk round the shoreline of Crummock water, then bear left on the footpath along Scales Beck and pass Scale Force. Following the path up Lingcomb Edge to the summit. I did a wildcamp on the summit taking pictures and watching the sun set. Definitely one to do either on it's own or as part of the High Style Range which also includes High Style, High Crag, Seat and Hay Stacks. Enjoy.

We climbed Red pike as a round route whilst visiting scale force waterfall nearby and then decided to follow the route up.It’s a nice route and a bit of a scramble but not too challenging at the side of the stream on the way up from scale force.As you get close to the peak it starts to get very slippy with all the loose shale so take care and make sure you have good footwear. Unfortunately we walked it in low cloud so visibility was quite poor for us but the paths were easy to follow up.

Starting up what is a quality ridge waalk is a tad tedious of trying to follow a narrow path through heather but on you pass the borin' part things just only get better all the way to the summit
