Hill Livery

This is an extremely special livery yard where horses and their owners are both made to feel welcome and are exceptionally well looked after. I have been overwhelmed by the phenomenal level of support, guidance and practical help Terri provides and her unbelievable level of equine knowledge! Her teaching is spot on and my confidence and partnership with my horse has come on leaps and bounds under her tuition. There is an extremely friendly and supportive atmosphere on the yard with the most lovely bunch of owners and yard staff that I now really consider friends. I could honesty gush for pages about how brilliant it is and what a positive experience it has been keeping my horse there and I feel incredibly lucky to have found this yard and the people in it!

I've only recently joined the yard and have to say I'm totally in love with it and all the people there , who make it one of my favourite places to be.Under Terri's guidance with the help and support of her head girl Georgia I'm continuously gaining knowledge and learning to be a better rider !! As the famous advert said… “If Carlsberg did Livery yards….” They would be describing Terri Hill Livery.I'll be the first to admit that I've made some howling mistakes in my 6 years of horse ownership. One of the biggest was buying a horse based purely on colour, totally ignoring the fact that he was too young, too big for me & that I'm no longer a spring chicken & had only recently taken up riding again after a 20 year break. However, I've totally redeemed myself by making the BEST decision ever in moving my horse to Terri Hill's Livery yard.I arrived at Terri’s a year ago, in the middle of Covid lockdown with a horse requiring surgery followed by 8 weeks of box rest and rehab. Terri wasn’t daunted in the slightest and the animal husbandry she and the team provided was second to none and thanks to their care my boy has made a full recovery.Despite the surgery enforced period of not riding, since getting back onboard, I’ve done far more in 7 months with Terri than I had in the previous 5 years of having my horse.Terri is so encouraging and simply wants the liveries to enjoy their time with their horse. She is an amazing instructor and my riding has improved enormously under her tutelage. With Terri & the Hill Livery crew’s help and support I’ve finally had the courage to get out and about and do things with my horse.Terri Hill Livery is not only an amazingly run livery yard, with brilliant facilities and all year turnout. It’s a home for you & your horse. On joining you become part of the friendly, inclusive Hill Livery family and I’m thankful every day that I took the plunge and became part of the Hill Livery Crew. The past year has been the happiest of my 6 years of horse ownership.The yard is simply the best, horses and owners really hit the jackpot if they become part of Hill Livery.

A wonderful yard! I have been a part-loaner at the yard for about 8 months. I am so impressed by the utmost care the owners, Terri, and the team give to their horses. Everyone at the yard is passionate and welcoming. The facilities are great with lessons onsite, a large arena, and hacking nearby. This is really the perfect place to ride just outside Bristol!

I’ve been at Hill Livery for 7 years and I wouldn’t want to be at any other yard! Great support and help. Terri provides excellent advice when needed. Not only have I kept my horse at Terri Hill Livery, I have also worked with the fabulous team there on weekends who give the horses on the yard amazing keep and clean, tidy beds each night. All year turn out which is also a bonus! Would definitely recommend Terri Hill Livery 100%.

Absolutely amazing yard. Everyone is made to feel welcome and included. The yard love to do things together (with or without horse!) and I’ve been absolutely blown away to see how everyone comes together to provide support and encouragement at competitions and team events. Terri herself is always on hand to share her wealth of knowledge, and provides schooling and lessons which really get results from horse and rider. Much more than just a livery yard - feels more like an extended family.

I couldn't recommend Terri's yard more, I've kept my horse here for 18 months and he has never been more content. It's a really knowledgeable and friendly yard, with excellent services and plenty of advice always on offer. I really don't have to worry about anything as it's all taken care of and everyone always has time for cake and a chat in the tack room!

Fab yard! I've been there for about 7 years and have both my horses in Terri's capable hands! All year turnout, fab hacking, great people and social side to the yard, and best of all you get your tack and horse laundry cleaned!

I have kept my horse here for many years and am very happy with the livery service. Good facilities and service, and a friendly atmosphere. For me a real bonus is that the owner Terri lives on site, and that most aspects of our horses' care, from the farrier to the washing and tack cleaning, are all done for us, so you can focus on spending quality time with your horse. Terri is very knowledgeable, is excellent in a crisis and has been a fantastic nurse whenever my horse has been sick or injured. The yard is also very sociable, with all sorts of group social activities being organised - there's never a dull moment! Recommended.

I joined Hill Livery as a part sharer 6 months ago and I couldn’t have asked for anything more to help me find my love of horses, riding and yard life again. I was very apprehensive at first after a two year break, especially going in as a sharer, but everyone at the yard has been super supportive, friendly and welcoming into the Hill Livery family. I had no expectation of being able to have regular lessons, getting out schooling and even competing again but that’s exactly what I have been able to do. The teaching from Terri is brilliant and the care that the horses get from all the staff every day is above and beyond. Nothing is too much trouble and there is always someone around to help answer your questions or just to say hello. Seeing all the extra animals at the yard is an added bonus to brighten up your day. Terri has created something special at Hill Livery and it shows in all the happy horses and humans.
