Booked a slot for the map reading room, everyone there was super helpful and friendly. Particularly the cheery security guard, and a very polite and helpful lady in the map reading room. Never visited there before and wasn't sure what to expect but pleasantly surprised. Will probably visit again for any other historical research I need.

LOW MAP RESOLUTION, POOR SERVICE - For well-printed maps go elsewhere - Bought four 6 to the mile scale maps of my local village for historical research
